Federal workers: spread the word! You can hold the government accountable for violating the telework letter of agreement.
This agreement was designed to ensure that managers assess each remote work request individually, rather than as a group. The government violated this agreement by imposing a rigid one-size-fits-none mandate.
Has your telework request been denied? Joint review panels provide a fair, case-by-case review process for resolving grievances related to remote work. See the step-by-step process below.

45,000 black public service workers have reported experiences of discrimination and systemic racism in the public service of Canada. Some with experiences so severe, that it has led them “to chronic depression, the use of antidepressant medications, and su***de attempts.”
The government claims to stand “against all forms of discrimination, including anti-Black racism” but has spent close to $10M fighting this case.
Bringing this to court is about attaining justice for Black, racialized and Indigenous workers, and putting a stop to systemic racism and discrimination in the federal public service once and for all.

Last year, Treasury Board President Anita Anand promised workers that there would be no job losses. Last week, we heard a very different story.
“If anything, we need to be reinforcing the public service, creating more jobs there so that we can provide the highest quality of service to Canadians as possible,” – Alex Silas, PSAC National Executive Vice-President

"Workers and families are waiting in limbo. People who benefit from critical programs won’t know if the services they depend on will be cut," – Sharon DeSousa, PSAC national president.
"Public service workers won’t know if they’ll have jobs by next summer – if they can renew their mortgage, start a family or pay their student loans."
Government savings should not fall on the backs of workers and the services they deliver to Canadians. PSAC will be fighting back against these cuts and protecting workers caught in the crossfire.

The Public Service Alliance of Canada represents more than 200,000 workers in every province and territory in Canada and in locations around the world. Our members work for federal government departments and agencies, Crown Corporations, universities, casinos, community services agencies, Aboriginal communities, airports, and the security sector among others. PSAC is headquartered in Ottawa with 23 regional offices across Canada.
The Public Service Alliance of Canada can trace its origins back to 1889 when the Railway Mail Clerks’ Association held its first convention.
Fast forward to July 9, 1966 when two organizations – the Civil Service Federation of Canada (including the Railway Mail Clerks) and the Civil Service Association of Canada – representing 16 staff associations, agreed to merge. At a founding convention in November 1966, the PSAC was born.
