Raywalt Construction is locally owned and specializes in trenching and installation of municipal utility infrastructure, including watermains and sewers. Raywalt is seeking to fill the role of Top Man/Woman for the 2022 Season.

Duties include:
-Ensure proper tools in hand at all times working in trenches (Tape measure, bar, rags, marker, level etc.)
-Regular and timely communication with Foreman, Operator, and crew members;
Inspect tools prior to sending into trench
-Observe and report hazards, issues with ladders, slopes to foreman, operator and crew members (when applicable)
-Rigging pipe for crane activities and working directly mainline hoe;
Ability to cut and bevel pipes properly
-Extensive knowledge in the use different types of lasers;
-Taking shots of pipe with eye level transit tool;
-Ensure water control in trenches with the use of pumps;
-Perform pre-inspections of pipe prior to installation;
-Re-checking work after installation and prior to final coverage of gravel;

This position is seasonal, physically demanding, and requires standing for long periods of time, manual lifting, and constant physical work.

Shifts schedules are Monday to Friday 10-12 Hour shifts but may be extended depending on project requirements. Saturdays are 8 Hour shifts by may be extended depending on project requirements. Overtime - is paid at time and a half. Work is weather dependent. Shifts include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

2-3 Years Experience required

We are currently hiring Experienced Sewer and Water Foreman/Forewoman for the 2022 Season. Work is in Edmonton and Surrounding areas, head office is located in Acheson, Alberta.

Wage dependent on experience.

Experience Required: 3 years minimum foreman’s experience with municipal subdivision servicing- mainline sewer, water, and house services.

Will be required to work as part of a team together with Superintendent and Project Manager. Must have leadership, planning and motivational skills. Foreman is responsible for crew safety, quality, and production.

Duties and Responsibilities-

Supervise crew in installation of mainline sewer, water and house services

Safety- maintain safe and compliant worksites for all workers in accordance with company safety policies. Complete required documentation including hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and inspections.

Quality- previous experience as pipelayer/topman/woman. Ability to ensure work is being done correctly to specifications and standards.

Other position related tasks as required

Mentor and train new and returning workers

This position is seasonal, demanding, requires high attention to detail, fast paced.

Clean drivers license required, company vehicle provided. Sites are in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Shifts schedules are Monday to Friday 10-12 Hour shifts but may be extended depending on project requirements. Saturdays are 8 Hour shifts by may be extended depending on project requirements. Overtime - is paid at time and a half. Work is weather dependent. Shifts include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
