June is Deafblind Awareness Month!
Several national monuments are lit up blue to recognize it.
Here is to our special patients who rise above not only hearing impairment but visual impairments as well and thank you to the intervenors that assist them.

Tonight the CN Tower will be lit blue to mark 30 days of awareness activities and events to help educate the nation about deafblindness and Canadians who are deafblind.
On June 4 CHKC will host its second annual invite-only fundraising gala at Steam Whistle Brewery in downtown Toronto.
On June 6 CHKC will be present outside Roundhouse Park to engage the public about what we do as they make their way to the Toronto Blue Jays game. Staff and consumers will also be in attendance at the Blue Jays game.
On June 14 CHKC will host its first ever Walk in Support of People Who Are Deafblind! We already have over 70 people registered! Participants will make their way from 422 Willowdale (RCA) around the block to 210 Empress (Training Centre).

Bob, Marjo, Edwin, Lauren, and Josee are full-time hearing health care providers who provide hearing tests, hearing aids, central auditory processing tests, listening devices, ear cleaning, and custom ear plugs to Timmins and Kapuskasing areas.
In addition to English, Josee and Lauren speak French, Edwin speaks Cantonese and Marjo speaks Finnish.
We are the largest hearing provider in Timmins for Worker's Compensation (WSIB, WCB), Assistive Devices Program(ADP), Native Affairs (NIHB), Disability (ODSP), and Veterans Affairs(VAC).
Our clinic is the site for the Infant Hearing Program in Timmins and surrounding area. We have special training and equipment to test young children. Marjo also specializes in FM systems that are used in classrooms.
Liz, Diane, Karen and Micheline(Kap) provide friendly and efficient bilingual customer service. No referral for hearing tests required (except for ODSP clients). Home visits can be provided upon request.
