πΈβ¨ May Recap at Coquitlam College β¨πΈ
As we welcome June, let's take a look back at our favorite May moments
CC Student Spotlight: Sharma Vishal | Associate of Arts Degree
Hi, I'm Sharma, from India.
I was an atom which could not find a path to steer me; this was the moment I joined Coquitlam College. When I started my study, I was just another nervous student whose basics were not that strong. I needed help and asked many questions to my teachers. I started observing more and practicing as much as I could. I believe that my success at Coquitlam College is not my own, but also belongs to many other people like my instructors who always supported me, my counsellors who were available instantly to guide me. I am thankful to the college staff, students, and the entire community for embracing me with open arms and helping me at every step of the way. I am not the tiny atom anymore, rather I feel whole and complete. I feel like I could circle the Earth.

Meet Andrew Wright, our Coquitlam College Alumni. Andrew successfully completed his two year pathway program in Business and went on to complete his Honour BBA with specialization in Finance at UBC.
In his own words: "As a University Transfer student, I felt the pressure really was on me to do my best in all my classes, especially since I had set my sights on transferring to UBC to complete my studies at the Sauder School of Business. I really enjoyed my time at Coquitlam College. I found that the smaller class sizes really helped advance my education, giving more of an intimate setting with my professors and other students. I also enjoyed all the collaboration we were encouraged to do in and out of the classroom. Iβm glad I chose Coquitlam College because I felt I had great support from everyone there, especially from my profs who made the connection between the material and everyday life, and from the academic advisors who helped me successfully complete my application for transfer. My two years at Coquitlam College helped me achieve my goal: after another two years, I graduated with Honours in the Finance specialization at the UBC Sauder School of Business."

From City Streets to Classroom Seats: My Exciting Beginnings in Canada
Cristiane Siqueira Rabelo de Araujo - Brazil | Associate of Arts Degree
These first two months of living in Vancouver, Canada have been incredible. Itβs been a mix of new experiences with lots of learning. At Coquitlam College, Iβve had experiences like I never imagined, interacting with diverse cultures and gaining invaluable insights from them. Volunteering at the college has been great for improving my English communication skills and making new friends. Despite the workload, the professors have been incredibly kind and always ready to help with any questions.
During my spare time between exams and assignments, I love exploring the city and discovering all it has to offer, from its stunning natural landscapes to various events. Being able to enjoy the beauty of this place and all the experiences Iβve had so far has been incredibly fulfilling, and Iβm thrilled to have all these opportunities.
