Now, let’s whip up a delicious and satisfying recipe using our new Multi-Grain Seeded Bread:

Tuna and Veggie Open-Faced sandwiches with Multi-Grain Seeded Bread

Ingredients:

• 3 slices of Multi-Grain Seeded Bread
• 1 can (4oz) of tuna, drained
• 1/4 cup thinly shredded lettuce
• 1/4 cup thinly sliced cucumber and onion
• 1/4 cup thinly sliced bell peppers (any color)
• 1/4 cup thinly shredded cabbage
• 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp chopped dill, 1 tbsp chopped pickled jalapenos or dill pickles
• 1 tsp olive oil and 1 tsp honey dijon mustard
• Salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, mix the drained tuna with the rest of the ingredients until well combined.
2. Lay out the 3 slices of Multi-Grain Seeded Bread.
3. Evenly distribute the tuna mixture onto each slice of bread.
4. Enjoy as open faced sandwiches for a fresh and satisfying lunch meal!

Meal Prep is going to be a huge time saver for you while on program. It’s also going to help you be prepared for the days ahead.⁠

Here are 3 reasons why meal prepping is beneficial:⁠

🍽️ When you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Unfortunately not everything can go to plan, so when you’re found scrambling for food, you’re more likely to sway off program. When you’re prepared in advance, you’ll be ready for anything!⁠

🍔 Convenience is not going to be the healthiest. We understand it’s easy to hit up the drive through when you’re low on time. Set yourself up for success so you can avoid being tempted by “convenient” locations just because you’re hungry. ⁠

🥞 The more often you’re prepared, the easier it is when slip ups happen. Focus on being consistent so when something goes array, you’ll know you’ve stayed on track as best as you could! ⁠

It's officially week 3/4 of our "Curbing Sugar Addiction" Blog Series! 🍭🍬⁠

This week we are chatting all about Dopamine... 👀⁠

Dopamine is known as “The reward Hormone” and it’s the hormone that’s triggered when you eat sugar. It’s released after your brain achieves any goal. 🤩⁠

Sometimes that goal can be as simple as “I am craving something sweet…” So when you reach for that treat, you’re lighting up your dopamine receptors and rewarding yourself. The more goals you achieve on a regular basis, the neural pathways in your brain get stronger. A diet plan for weight loss can help reduce sugar cravings but ultimately it’s a lifestyle change that’s needed...⁠
