We’ve been all over the place lately so while from our team is on Baffin Island, Raymond Friesen is going to share some images from Svalbard and his shoot with Polar Bears International
Svalbard is a Norwegian archipelago between mainland Norway and the North Pole. One of the world’s northernmost inhabited areas, it's known for its rugged, remote terrain of glaciers and frozen tundra sheltering polar bears. This year PBI deployed polar bear den cams and tested a new radar system that has the potential to detect polar bear maternal dens through the snow!
In early March sunlight finally lands on the town of Longyearbyen after months of darkness. With longer days field work can begin.

We wanted to create something fun and energetic around a product. Most of work is ‘documentary style’ so it’s actually pretty rare that we do studio work. That being said, it’s super fun! And might we add… sometimes delicious!
