We wish all our members good luck with their deadlines and keep our fingers crossed for students already awaiting their results.

That moment when you realise the day has arrived!!!
We hope that you're all as excited as we are! Please see key notes below to ensure that everyone has the best night!!
• RGU SPORT main entrance will be closed, entry will be from the side of the building.
• Please arrive promptly for door opening at 7pm for a 730pm start (buses from schoolhill from 1815)
• Security will be searching everyone so please don’t try to take alcohol in as it will be taken from you!)
• Security will not allow anyone in that they feel are too drunk or are unsafe to enter, we understand that you want to have a great day but please be careful, if you don’t get into the ball no refund will be issued.
• Look after each other, we want everyone to have the best night!!
• If you have any dietary requirements, please make the staff aware when they are serving your table!
• Lastly and most importantly, make sure you take time to enjoy the night, you all deserve it!

💃They are the main caterers for Robert Gordon University! We not only appreciate the support they are providing for the ball but also appreciate the excellent service they provide students each day!

Blues Ball wristband collection available from Monday 20th of March!
Only 7 sleeps to go until the big night!!!
As you may know, instead of a formal ticket, every student needs a wristband to enter Blues Ball! Please see the process of how to collect these below:
1. All wristbands need to be collected from RGU SPORT reception
2. Wristbands can be collected from 9am on Monday 20th until Saturday 25th March at 3pm
3. You can only pick up your own wristbands, nobody else can pick this up for you. Any issues, please email [email protected]
4. You must bring your ID with you (driving license, passport, or birth certificate), wristbands will not be given out without this
5. Once your wristband is put on by a member of staff, this can’t be removed or tampered with otherwise you won’t be permitted entry.

a big congratulations to our women’s basketball and men’s hockey teams on their great wins yesterday in the conference cup finals🏆
we couldn’t be prouder of them both, they absolutely smashed it!

CONFERENCE CUP FINALS DAY💜
Everyone from RGU Sports Clubs would like to wish our Women’s Basketball team and Men’s Hockey team a MASSIVE good luck today in their respective cup finals.
Reaching these Finals has been an outstanding achievement on its own and we couldn’t be prouder of them both.
If you’re in the area, make sure to head over and cheer them on.

💜 This week's is to highlight inclusion support this LGBTQIA2S+ month. Our clubs have zero tolerance for any discrimination and want all our members to feel included.

💜 This week's is inspired by Valentine's day (14th Febuary) and returning this semester!
You don't have to be isolated to feel lonely, it effects all of us.
Your value is not dependant on your romantic relationships or how many friends you have. Our sports clubs are welcoming and an amazing way to meet people 💜

A huge well done to Cheerleading for winning our challenge and congrats to Women’s Rugby, Athletics and Men’s Rugby for some solid efforts🤝

Some very important information about our Mini Blues event on Wednesday💜
One of our Wellbeing and Inclusion Officers, Isla, has got some information for you to keep you and your friends safe on a night out.
It is sure to be a great evening and we are looking forward to being with everyone and having a good old dance🕺🏻
Missed out last semester? or fancy trying something new for 2023?
A few of our sports clubs are holding taster sessions and anyone of any ability is welcome to go along and give it a go!
Please note: Women’s Rugby will also be hosting a taster session from 7.30-9 at Countesswells on Monday 16th.
Mini Blues is almost here and we hope you’re all as excited as we are🕺🏻
For entry into Unit 51 and the afterparty in Atik you will have to have pre collected your wristband from RGU Union. Wristbands will not be available to collect on the door!
Wristbands will be available to collect from one of our SPAT in the Union at the following times:
Wednesday 11th January 11-1
Thursday 12th January 11-1
Friday 13th January 11-1
Monday 16th January 12-5
Tuesday 17th January 12-5
Wednesday 18th January 9-12
To collect your wristband you must bring:
🐗 Confirmation of payment (this should have been emailed to you)
🐗 a form of ID (eg. passport, drivers license, young scot cards)
Just to be clear- No wristband, no entry

Introducing your 22/23 Sport and Physical Activity Team🕺🏻
We have Joel leading us at the top as this year’s President of Sport and Physical Activity and he is being supported by Jill as our Vice President of Sport.
Rachel and Raina are here this year as your 2 Media and Communications Officers and are here to assist our clubs with their social media and to let you know what’s going on via our channels.
Isla and Emma are your two Wellbeing and Inclusion Officers and are here to provide resources (see their Mindfulness Monday posts) and support our Wellbeing Ambassadors within all of our sports clubs.
Lacey and Sarah are your two Fundraising, Sponsorship and Events Officers and are here to make sure all our clubs meet their fundraising and sponsorship targets and to help plan events for our sports club members.
Ayodeji is your Performance, Intramural and Development Officer this year and is aiming to to strengthen our reputation.
We have an incredibly strong team and each person brings a different skill and great attitude and ideas which is fabulous. We are here to support our club leaders and all of our club members so please if you’ve any questions please don’t hesitate to approach any member or SPAT💜
