I’ve been eating the same breakfast for years. 🥣 (Overnight oats or porridge when the temperature drops)
I know, it might sound boring, but sometimes the best advice is exactly that, simple and straightforward.
Why do I stick with the same routine?
It helps me avoid decision fatigue, so I can start my day with one less thing to think about. Plus, I genuinely enjoy it, and that’s what matters most.
You don’t need to prep a bunch of fancy dishes to improve your nutrition. Sometimes, consistency is key. 🗝️
I wish I could sell you something sexier but the best advice is quite often boring. 💚

Most diets fail because you are trying to fit your life around the diet. Not the diet around your life. ❌
Instead of continuing with these diets that don’t fit your lifestyle and then making yourself feel crap when inevitably they don’t work. Take a look at your environment and make the diet work for you, not against you.

This is a perfect excuse to remind you to add don’t restrict when it comes to your meals.
To my fajitas I added black beans, sweetcorn and an extra pepper. 🫑
By doing this I’ve added extra fibre, vitamins and minerals which has left me feeling more satisfied.

For many this is the last weekend of the summer holidays before returning to some “normality”.
While it might be tempting to eat all the “bad” food you have in house this weekend to start fresh.
I I would strongly advise against it. ❌

On Monday at the gym, my usual 10kg dumbbells were all taken. I had two choices, go down in weight or step up. So, I grabbed the 12kg ones. 💪🏻
Guess what? I managed it! I didn’t hit my usual number of reps, but I still got quite a few in.
I know this sounds cliché, but hear me out. If you’re coasting through life in your comfort zone, doing the same things because they’re easy, you’re never going to see results. ❌
How long would I have stayed in my comfort zone, lifting the same weight, before I was forced to try something harder? Who knows? 🤷🏼♀️

For me this is still a huge win when I’m eating, the old me would have pushed through and finished this plate despite being full up.
Take your time when you’re eating and try to have no distractions at meal times.

Not only will you feel fatigued but you may be setting yourself up for a binge or a “snaccident”. (This was the case for me).

In all seriousness don’t forget you don’t have to eat plain boring salad. (Or any kind of food).
This is the salad I’ve been enjoying on repeat. I’ve used olive oil, apple cider vinegar and a pinch of salt to add some more flavour.

Write down 3 things you want to achieve/improve.
Next to it write an action that will get you closer to it. (It can be a tiny action)
Actually follow through and take the action. (Tell someone to hold you accountable, this is why hiring a coach is a great idea.. just saying).
Some examples:
Get more steps in - everyday I will increase my steps by 1,000 by getting out at lunch time for a short walk.
Eat more healthily - Increase my fruit & veg by adding 1 more portion every day and drinking 500ml extra water.
That’s it, super easy right?
