What is salt therapyβοΈ
Salt therapy is a non invasive, natural, drug free treatment for horses which can be used along side other treatments or as a stand alone therapy. π§
It can be very beneficial for respiratory conditions such as asthma or symptoms of allergies, equally it can help to improve skin conditions such as sweet itch. π€§
Wound healing is another fantastic use of salt therapy where it can be used on its own or along side laser or INDIBA to accelerate healing. π€

Itβs crucial to seek professional veterinary advice when dealing with any form of lameness in horses.
Schedule an appointment with your vet who can perform a thorough examination and potentially conduct diagnostic tests to identify the cause of lameness.

As most of you already know I am back at work following maternity leave and have been slowly working through my list of clients that have requested an appointment on my return. πΆπΌ I should have been in contact with most of you by now but if Iβve missed anyone please give me a nudge. π¨
I am only working part time so spaces are limited and I have also relocated to Ayr so frequency of visits to certain areas has changed. π
If you are looking for an appointment please let me know and please try and give as much notice as possible. π΄
Thanks and hope to see you all soon
**THURSDAY RESEARCH MEME**
Todays MEME is relating to saddle slip and the importance of working as a team to ask the βwhyβ, and then make a plan on how best to support the horse and rider. Often it is thought that the βriderβ is the cause of saddle slip, whilst we must consider the rider, we need to establish the βprimaryβ cause, and based on multiple studies, saddle slip is initiated by the horse and not the rider. Pursing a rider alone approach to resolving saddle slip is not advantageous, and can often allow subtle asymmetries to develop.

Thanks to Indiba UK for a brilliant masterclass yesterday. Lots of exciting new developments. I will soon be starting back up again after maternity leave. Keep an eye on the page for updates.
