What is salt therapy⁉️

Salt therapy is a non invasive, natural, drug free treatment for horses which can be used along side other treatments or as a stand alone therapy. πŸ§‚

It can be very beneficial for respiratory conditions such as asthma or symptoms of allergies, equally it can help to improve skin conditions such as sweet itch. 🀧

Wound healing is another fantastic use of salt therapy where it can be used on its own or along side laser or INDIBA to accelerate healing. πŸ€•

This poor boy was injured late December β€˜23 and following extensive veterinary treatment, was still left with a wound that refused to heal. At the end of April β€˜24 I began treating weekly with Indiba and this is the results 6 weeks down the line 🐴 🩹 ⛑️

It’s crucial to seek professional veterinary advice when dealing with any form of lameness in horses.

Schedule an appointment with your vet who can perform a thorough examination and potentially conduct diagnostic tests to identify the cause of lameness.

As most of you already know I am back at work following maternity leave and have been slowly working through my list of clients that have requested an appointment on my return. πŸ‘ΆπŸΌ I should have been in contact with most of you by now but if I’ve missed anyone please give me a nudge. 🚨

I am only working part time so spaces are limited and I have also relocated to Ayr so frequency of visits to certain areas has changed. πŸ“–

If you are looking for an appointment please let me know and please try and give as much notice as possible. 🐴

Thanks and hope to see you all soon

**THURSDAY RESEARCH MEME**

Todays MEME is relating to saddle slip and the importance of working as a team to ask the β€œwhy”, and then make a plan on how best to support the horse and rider. Often it is thought that the β€œrider” is the cause of saddle slip, whilst we must consider the rider, we need to establish the β€œprimary” cause, and based on multiple studies, saddle slip is initiated by the horse and not the rider. Pursing a rider alone approach to resolving saddle slip is not advantageous, and can often allow subtle asymmetries to develop.
