My darling girl, 15 today, I honestly don’t know where the time has gone! As the years pass I start to think of this day as a celebration instead of a loss. I forever get to hold you in my heart as a tiny perfect baby whilst I watch your 2 sisters grow, my time with them depending on me fully disappearing with each year as they become independent women.
I think about you everyday and thank you for making me the strong woman I’ve become. You gave me the drive to start my incredible business 9yrs ago, and the opportunity to be surrounded by the most wonderful women all of whom have heard your name and the reason moovit exists. The gym is my therapy, my Moovers fill me with passion & happiness, watching them learn to fall in love with themselves and feel strong is my drug and you’ve given me that ❤️

•
Post hideous head cold, half term juggling, and a period looming my energy levels are at an all time low.
Today I listened to my body and took my own advice. I tell all my beautiful Moovers….’any movement of any kind is good for your body & mind’ so today I just stretched and moved, helped along by my gorgeous puppy Roy!

The latest addition to my mental health maintenance…..HRT ❤️
•
Its mental health awareness day but also menopause awareness month and so very often the two affect women hand in hand.
•
I visited my GP after feeling as if I was on the verge of another bout of anxiety and to adjust my medication before I fell down my black hole again. After discussing with her my symptoms….extreme tiredness, waves of irritability, the worst brain fog known to man, and I mean THE WORST, even the kids thought I was loosing my mind, I couldn’t remember words, what I was doing….it was driving me mad and making me feel so anxious 😕 Turns out I was peri menopausal and I needed to adjust my hormone levels, oestrogen in particular.
•
After 6 weeks of slavering on the slimy gel (anyone who uses it will know, this s**t takes forever to dry!! 😳) I’m feeling back to myself again!
Happy national fitness day 🏋🏼♀️
•
Throw back to a covid PE lesson with my girls in the gym. I love that they all embrace movement and feel empowered by feeling strong….movement is magic ❤️

Getting my ‘Moovit glow’ on with this sweaty little 20min AMRAP 🥵
•
I often get asked how much I exercise and how often and for how long I think people should exercise too….my belief is that ANY movement is beneficial, try not to get hung up on the length of time of your workout, listen to your body and do what feels right 💪🏻
•
When I’m lacking in time a perfect workout that is sure to hit the right places is an AMRAP, as many reps as possible. Choose a time frame, mine was 20mins, take 4 exercises and set the timer. Repeat each exercise for 10 reps and keep going until that buzzer goes off!
•
Hair up in a bun, this AMRAP was a full body sweaty little beast that required a set of 8kg dumbbells (video sped up)
10x thrusters
10x plank drag
10x alt reverse lunge with hammer curl
10x pike plank
•
Set that timer and let me know how many rounds you can do ❤️
Post covid fitness
•
After dodging the dreaded ‘vid for over 2 years it finally got me ☹️
Although my symptoms were manageable the effect on my chest left me feeling short of breath and fatigued, I didn’t do any exercise for nearly 2 weeks, even short walks left me wanting to get back into bed.
•
After a week spent in the sun I finally felt well enough to do a gentle workout…it was bloody tough, 30mins left me in a sweaty mess but it felt great to move again!
•
Post covid health is different for everybody, listening to your body and what feels right is key…..little and often for me is what is feeling good right now and so I’ll keep it up until I’m ready for a good beasting 💦
Embracing the curl ❤️
•
Over the past 5years I’ve struggled with some thinning and hair loss mostly due to stress and also changes in my hormones.
•
As a family this is something we’ve had to deal with in the past. After loosing Olive, Floss suffered with a bout of stress induced alopecia. A bald patch appeared almost overnight in her beautiful thick blonde hair. Over time the patch slowly grew back and today you’d never have known she was ever effected.
•
I’ve turned to extensions to thicken my hair out over the past year but since having them out and focusing more on my diet, taking regular supplements and dealing with my stress levels with fitness I’m beginning to see my hair start to fill out….who knows, the 70’s curls might be here to stay! 💕
A daughter, sister, mother, step mum, aunt and business owner…women are in every corner of my life, my rocks supporting me in everything I do 💕
•
In the crazy, scary & unpredictable world we live in today I know that I am lucky enough to be surrounded by the most incredible women to fill my heart, listen to my worries, encourage me to become the strong women I am today ❤️
•
Happy international Womens day Moovers, here’s to strong women…may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them 🙌🏼
Training outside your comfort zone 🙌🏼
•
Trying to push myself and improve on the things I find hard/hate…..back/upper body & cardio🥵
•
It’s so easy to get into a rut with training, working on the things you find easier, I’d squat and deadlift for days and I can never get enough of a good core beasting….bicycle crunches being one I’ll always add to EVERY workout as moovit clients will vouch for!!
•
This year however I’m going to nail my pull up, something I’ve not been able to master for a while. I’m going to focus on some back strength and build on my shoulders and perfect some assisted lifts until I can do one on my own….watch this space 👌🏻
•
What fitness goals have you got?
A relapse over Christmas forced me to make a promise to myself this year….to take some control over things I know can affect my mood, to let go of things holding me back and to accept the things that I have no control over.
•
After a few weeks of intermittent training I listened to my own advice and started being consistent with my workouts. Exercising regularly through the week with weights and sweaty cardio or stretching and lengthening with Pilates and yoga, listening to my body and what felt right, making sure to move everyday.
•
Drinking at least 2 litres of water a day, a simple but hugely beneficial habit to get into. Keeping hydrated has reduced my bloating, helped with my peri menopausal skin and given me the energy I’d normally have to reach for the coffee to help with!
•
Taking a good multivitamin, omega 3,6 & 9, a multi B vitamin, Vitamin D & a probiotic has helped to regulate my ever erratic hormones and give me the best chance against the dreaded lurgy!
•
Last but by no means least, I’ve accepted that despite all of the above I sometimes need the help of my little friend Sertraline. A maintenance dose that allows me to recognise when I need help and to actually have the brain space to do something about it.
•
As we approach the end of one of my trickiest months of the year I can honestly say I feel the best I’ve felt in a long time, both physically & mentally ❤️
Cliveden house, what a stay!
•
Not often do you see me out of my gym kit, but this weekend Zac and I went to our first post Covid party and completely let our hair down 🥳
•
Eating, drinking, dancing & the most incredible scenic walks….it was an amazing 24hrs, we loved every second!
•
Thank you for having us, we will definitely be back!!
Winter sunshine in the gym ☀️
•
What a bloody difference it makes to have that sun shine and to see some blue sky, a little boost that so many of us need right now!!
•
Almost half way through the dreaded month of January Moovers…keep mooving, stretching and those positive vibes flowing ❤️
Covid buggered our plans AGAIN 🤬
•
This week we were supposed to be in Paris…instead we are at home eating ALL the French cheese we can possibly fit in our mouths pretending we are dining alongside the Eiffel Tower ❤️
•
Instead of using exercise as a punishment for all the food and bubbles being consumed this time of year, I am 100% using it to make extra space to ENJOY all the delicious nibbles our house has been stocked with!
•
Here is a perfect little full body dumbbell workout that can be done at home 💪🏻
•
4 sets of each exercise
10x Deadlift into Row
10x Single squat OHP each side
10x Lat raise to neutral front raise
10x Squat press
10x Pike plank
10x Bear shoulder taps
•
Go make room movers and enjoy all that cheese 🧀
Not going to lie, my personal fitness has taken a side step with the arrival of these beautiful puppies….5 perfect mini dachshunds to waste all my free time on, 8 weeks of pure, unconditional love, a mountain of mini poo and a flooding of wee!!
•
Whilst I have LOVED every second of time wasted watching them open their eyes, start walking, eating and developing their own little personalities, the time has come to pass them on to their new homes and to get some serious motivation back for my own fitness in the gym!
•
I’ve said to so many clients over the years….consistency is key to fitness, it’s not about how long you train or how much you can lift….if you do it constantly you will see the changes in your strength, body shape and overall fitness….for it to become part of your everyday life is key and something I’ve definitely let slip the past few weeks!
•
Instead of beating myself up over the training I’ve missed i’m going to listen to my own advice and set a plan for some sweatiness and time to myself over the coming weeks, I’m excited to feel strong both in body & mind 🙌🏼

I am a mummy, a mummy of 3 girls, just one of them isn’t here any more.
•
Olive was born 12yrs ago but is no longer with me. To this day one thing I dread more than ever is being asked ‘how many children do you have?’
In that split second I weigh up wether or not to say 2 or 3….Will that person feel awkward if I say 3 and they ask their ages to which I’ll respond…’well my middle daughter isn’t here any more, she died at birth’….Am I in the right frame of mind to tell her story, or do I say 2 and then spend the rest of the day feeling like I’ve forgotten about her, a daughter who’s such a massive part of my life and yet invisible to the outside world.
•
Losing Olive has shaped my life and I think about her every single day. As I approach a time in my life where pregnancy isn’t an option any more I feel even more cheated of being able to enjoy my last pregnancy with my youngest daughter, Alice. Worrying about every single scan or consultation that your going to be told something is wrong, I can honestly say I felt petrified for the entire 40 weeks.
•
Miscarriage and stillbirth have affected many people I know and love recently and I am thankful that has spoken so openly about her experience. I lost part of me when Olive died, a part that can never be replaced but being able to talk openly about my experience with other women has definitely helped me normalise my experience and come to terms with what happened. Thinking of everyone affected by their loss 🤍
