Did you have a P*P deal on a car new or used in last 20 years? Simple. Monthly payment, maybe a deposit and at end of agreement u could buy car with one payment or hand back!

If u did there may have been a confidential payment from the finance company to the dealer because the dealer got u to sign a deal at a higher interest rate because they focused you on the monthly payment. Because they should have told you about this payment and didn’t you can reclaim it as u probs overpaid for your car

So, how do u know? Ans. You don’t.
What you do is track down via ur records or bank the name of the credit company. Write to them via their website giving them details of ur car ur name address and ‘rough’ time of ur deal. They’re duty bound to have ur records.
They have till this September to formally reply with a confirmation of if one of these under the desk payments was made. If it was they have to compensate.

I simply dont believe raising interest rates will dampen inflation. IMHO this is global inflation and isn’t driven or impacted by U.K. demand. Instead I think raising rates is fuelling inflation via increased business costs. The stress is also heavily impacting people’s well-being and personal finances. What do you think?
