'Accuro Outdoors' does BBC Gardeners' World! 🍁

Members of the project had a wonderful trip out to Audley End House for the BBC Gardeners' World Autumn Fair last week.

Members had a good look at the 'Showcase Gardens', the array of stall holders, and of course they had to visit the vegetable patch to check out the competition! ☺️

It's the LAST day of our Holiday Scheme today 😮

From glorious days at the beach, to a tranquil session at REACH, visiting the animals at Hertfordshire Zoo, to learning the art of rowing a canoe, our Holiday Scheme has been so much fun from start to finish!

We hope our members have enjoyed it as much as we have! ☺️

A huge thank you to all of our amazing staff who have helped over the last five weeks — without you, our summer of fun would not have been possible.

Our Accuro Outdoors gardening project has been coming along very nicely and quickly due to the sunny weather we have been having! 🍅🥒

Adult Projects Manager, Luisa, said "The wild bunnies have been loving all the food we are growing for them. We have to learn to live alongside the wildlife and bugs and make sure they leave some for us! We invested in some netting to protect the crops — and it has worked!

We harvested our first salad and what better way to enjoy it than a BBQ in the sun!"🤩

Last week's Adult Friendship Scheme party at Tocher House was truly unforgettable! 🤩

Members had a great night of catching up in the garden and singing and dancing the night away to music from Accuro's very own DJ Carl! 🎧

One member said, "I couldn't get to Ibiza, Ibiza came to me!" ☺️

Happy Tuesday! Today, we’re pleased to have Accuro (Care Services) out on the canals. They’ve been using our services for many years, and it’s always a pleasure to see them enjoy the peacefulness of the waterways. We value our long-term clients and are grateful for the opportunity to support them.

We are actively raising funds to add a new accessible electric canal boat to our current fleet. This is just the beginning of an amazing journey towards a more sustainable and impactful future for our charity and the communities we serve!
