Yoga by Caz in the heart of Yorkshire.
Some new classes are coming from me in September. I'll drop some more information after the weekend. π
Lovley relaxed class here at Sutton today. As it's been very warm, we concentrated on lots of mat work instead of being stood and generating even more heat.
I'm away next week but the class will be covered by Suzanne. Come along and join her.
Today's learning consists of pelvic floor.
It feels like a taboo topic in today's society. So many people (men and women) suffer with a weakness within the pelvic floor. This can be due to pregnancy or just a lack of awareness of those muscles.
The lady who I'm doing this postnatal training with very correctly points out that we do not have to accept 'accidents' in our later years. And we really don't. Taking ownership of your body and control over what happens to us as we age gives back the power to us.
So don't be surprised if there's some breathing and lifting techniques brought to all of my yoga classes in the next few months.
This one Tuesday's class looks like it's going to be a hot one. Please make sure you bring a drink and listen to your body throughout.
If you're new to yoga, super experienced or maybe just someone who needs to take 1 hour away from the hustle and bustle of life.
This is your calling card to come along to a class and find yourself again.

You may wonder what this Yoga teacher does when she's not teaching....
Today, it's a digging up potatoes kind of day, normally off 3 plants. I get enough for some homemade chips and for a Sunday dinner.....
However, this year, I have got 8 baby potatoes off 3 plants ππ I'm currently looking at the rest of the bed and wondering if it's worth digging over or if I should give in and go buy some. π«£π€¦π»ββοΈπ₯π₯

This week with my family always remind me that my FAMILY is what I make it. Here's one of my favourite poems by Donna Ashworth
Family is not always blood,
not always traditional
and never always easy.
Family is anyone who makes you feel at home.
And not always those you start life with.
Family is a gift we all deserve,
and if you donβt have it,
you can build it, you can find it.
Family exists in many forms,
and is often hard to recognise by sight,
but always by how it feels.
Family is not always pretty and never always easy.
But itβs always forgiving and always loving,
and if yours is not,
you can change that.
Family is binding,
although sometimes you will feel the need to fly free from that knot.
And thatβs ok.
But always remember the way home.
Itβs not a place, itβs a feeling.
And the map is in your soul and in your heart.
Family is not always blood,
not always traditional,
but itβs always love.
Thatβs the only criteria to be met.

Sorry for the radio silence, I can confirm I'm home and feeling 95% better than I was. Phew!
Things always slow down a little over the 6 week holidays and I'll be away for a couple of the classes so I can spend time with my lovely family and enjoy my kids before they turn into moody teenagers!
So please check in with my socials to find out which classes are on. Also, there will be some exciting developments in September for some new classes, 1-1/2-1 availability, and some Reiki offerings. π₯°

Well, this is a different view from what I expected for my birthday weekend.
I'm cancelling this week's yoga classes. I think I'll be in Airedale till Monday at the earliest π’ apologies.
P.s it's nothing major, just a colitis flare, which has put me on my ass xx
Wow, what an experience. Tonight, I've had the most beautiful evening with Lauren of at her sound bath in Ingleton cave.
Not only was it my first time in a cave as an adult who struggles with claustrophobia, (thankful for my yoga breathing and grounding!) But it was most certainly the first time I've ever fallen asleep and truly relaxed in a cave!
A truly amazing experience and a wonderful birthday present from and
10/10 would recommend π ππ§ββοΈπ₯°

Iβm often asked which classes are beginner friendly. The answer is they all are. Classes are suitable for beginners and the more adept as we teach options for each ability. You can take it at your own pace. Some weeks less is more. Yoga isnβt about touching your toes itβs about going within to heal the body and the mind. Our time table is in the comments π§π»ββοΈπ«

Happy Summer Solstice for last night.
Me and Tom went up to Cowling Pinnacle and watched the sunset with a gin and was blessed by the moon shining her beautiful face. Taking a moment to slow down and being thankful for all we've achieved so far this year. π π₯°
A wonderful yoga class this morning at Sutton, followed by an afternoon in my garden. My happy place, my place of self care, my place of reflection, and, of course, time in the mud.
I was also treated to the first ripening strawberries and raspberries of the year. Self grown that is... I've bought so many. I'm surprised the kids don't look like strawberries!
Restorative yoga at this week is fully booked with a waiting list. π₯°π€© (If you need to cancel, please do so with 24-hour notice so it gives those on the waiting list chance. Thank you)
My next dates with availability are 28th June, 12th July, 26th July. These are booking up fast, so if you'd like a space book sooner than later!
Love my corporate classes at . They are a hard-working bunch of amazing vikings. They have tested my knowledge and ability to adapt asanas for the inflexible and for the hypermobile of the team. They have also taught me how to control a class. (Otherwise, they end up like the photo!)
In the 6months I've been teaching this lot, they have come such a long way. Some can touch their toes when they couldn't before, and some can close their eyes during a balance (I can't do this!) And others have learnt to connect to the breath rather than sounding like a man in labour π€£π
I'm proud to be their yoga teacher π₯°

This is me.
First time wearing a bikini for 5 years, if not longer.
Practcing yoga and teaching yoga hasn't really changed my body. Yes, it's made me more flexible, and I can hold a plank for longer. But I haven't lost weight through it or physically changed much. It has, however, helped me view myself and my body differently.
Yoga has helped me appreciate my body, this vessel that holds the essence of me. It's brought baby's into the world, it's lost baby's, it carrys me to beautiful places, makes me able to hug and love those around me, makes it so I can show how happy or sad I am. It means I can experience amazing foods and places. And for all of these reasons, I'm starting to love it just a little bit more, stretch marks and wobbly bits, en-all π₯°
(This has been blostered by my fantastic hypnotherapist, message me if you want any details)
As a teacher, I've been asked if it is normal to cry during yoga?
My answer is always YES, it means your body is releasing, dealing with the emotions we cram away, processing the endless to do list or stress.
As humans, we are so busy rushing around filling every minute with some obligation or a distraction. How often do we leave the technology and leave the 'jobs' and just sit in our own space? Even more importantly, how often do we honour our feelings and just feel them?
Yoga, even laying in shavasana or sitting in a lotus, allows us to notice our body and feelings. So please, if you wish to cry or smile during my classes, know the space is safe for you.
