The Villages Pre-School Eldwick

Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August we are holding our annual fundraiser for two local charities. Running the cafe at Fewston Parochial Hall and eager to serve you coffee, cake, pie n peas, quiche, jacket potatoes and sandwiches 😋 PHAB and Zarach 💕.
If anyone can bake a cake or help out for a couple of hours, I'd be most grateful 😁🍰☕️🌞
PHAB - Phab is a national voluntary organisation that enables people of all abilities to make more of life together - breaking down community barriers, reducing social isolation, and creating opportunities for disabled and non-disabled people to enjoy the same activities and challenges.

It seems 2 minutes since my daughter was at pre-school, now graduating. Make the most of every minute, they grow up so fast 💕

We are making the most of the warm and dry weather, having free-flow access to our outdoor space 😀

We've had a very busy week sewing seeds and planting vegetables in the garden - now we can learn how to take care of them and watch them grow 🙂

We have brought a little bit of summer to pre-school this week with holiday activities - tactile exploration and making our own representation of a beach. Today, we've particularly enjoyed listening to the children talking about previous holidays using fabulous vocabulary!

We have an exciting week ahead 🙂 with tactile exploration, mark making, musical moments and outdoor play - checking in on our pumpkin, kale, carrots and lettuce plants

This is an interesting and exciting opportunity for our parents to participate in a research project about the impact of electronic technology on young children's development and health.

Brand new child's coat left in The Eldwick Church cafe today. Would love to find the owner. Please let me know if you recognise it 🙂

This week we are supporting mark making on a large scale, mathematical opportunities to match patterns, number to quantity and discuss differences in size and shape 🙂

We're grateful for any outgrown or no-longer-needed pre-school uniform if you have any 🤞🙂

If you have any donations of good quality baby and toddler clothing, please bring to pre-school and leave them by the high chairs in the entrance way. The Eldwick Church are supporting the Pre-Loved shop in Keighley and we'd like to help 🙂. Thank you.

The most exciting afternoon with a visit from our local firefighters and their fire engine! Thank you so much for visiting and giving the children a wonderful experience, we really appreciate it 😊

Room layout number two!! We are loving the space and freedom this one offers, whilst keeping the resources specific for our different age ranges in the separate sections 😁

We are so pleased with how the environment is progressing 🙂 and the positive impact it is having upon the children's learning and enjoyment ❤️

World Book Day is tomorrow, your children are welcome to come dressed as their favourite character from a book or in their pyjamas 😁

Balancing biking was such fun this morning, thanks to Coach Kate. We can already see how much the children are developing their technique and beginning to use two feet together to propel themselves instead of alternative feet 😁🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

The chicks continue to develop well and bring such excitement to pre-school. The children have been looking at their growth with great interest ❤️🐥😁

We have seven chicks and at least one other egg with signs of cracking. The children have been mesmerised seeing the chicks hatch - a magical experience for everyone ❤️
