I am gutted to have to pull out of the Thames Path 100km Ultra Challenge next week.

My injured toe just isn’t healed enough to safely take on the challenge without making it worse 😢

I have however deferred the event to the Jurassic Coast 100km ultra Challenge on 17/18th May.

I guess the positive part of this situation is that it gives me more time to raise more money for 💴

Thank you so much to everyone who has already sponsored me, I promise you, I will complete the 100km event, it’s just a bit delayed! And thank you again for your support so far 🙏 and sorry for not wearing boots when gardening 🙈😫

02/09/2024

Really didn’t want to train today, toe still not 100% so did a kettlebell workout. Definitely felt better for it, those endorphins do work their magic 🪄🤩

I’m seriously panicking that my toe might not be healed enough for the 100km Thames path challenge in under 2 weeks!! 😬😫

I haven’t done any walking training for about 6 weeks, so if my toe is healed enough for the ultra Challenge, I am going to have to hope my base fitness level will get me through 🫤 (and lots of pain killers)!

I have found my lack of walking has affected my mood as well as I love to walk outside and get my daily dose of fresh air 😢

Anyway, the moral of this story is, when lifting things in the garden, wear proper safety boots, NOT flip flops 🩴 🙈

Very excited to receive my level 2 certificate in Digital Marketing 🤩

Hopefully I will be able to put my new skills to good use soon with my exciting plans for the progression of m2m fitness 💪

Happy Brighton Pride 🌈❤️🏳️‍🌈🥰

31/07/2024

I decided against going to the gym today and instead decided to go for a quick dip in the sea 🌊 as today’s fitness.

I’ve been quite fearful of the sea for most of my life, probably partly due to my dad not being able to swim (and being fearful of the sea), my mum being frightened of the fish 🐟 in the sea and also having watched Jaws at about the age of 4 🦈

I have been working hard to conquer my sea fear for a few years now, so to come to the beach on my own and go for a swim, is quite a big thing for me.

I really enjoyed it and feel very lucky that I live so close to be able to do this.

Hopefully summer sticks around for a while yet to get more sea dips in 🏊🌞

Super excited to go to this tomorrow at 🤩

I finally got my Level 3 certificate last week for the Level 3 counselling course I did last year 🙌

I really wanted to learn some official skills in counselling because I feel that my job as a personal trainer isn’t always just about the body being exercised and nurtured, but also the mind 🥰

I have already started my next course in digital marketing, to be followed by a course to learn more about women and their training journey during perimenopause and menopause.

I will revisit the idea of doing the level 4 in counselling skills after that.

I found the level 3 counselling course challenging for different reasons and need a bit of time out from this area to gather my thoughts and refocus what I want from it in the future 🤔

Anyway, this is the reason I’ve been super quiet on my socials, not because I don’t love my job anymore, but because I love it so much, I want to be even better at it 🙌

There are some exciting things coming up, I just need to pull it all together 🥴

Misty, rainy and muddy walk today 🤪

But felt great to get another training walk in the bag for 100km charity walk in September😊

12/02/2024

Back to work this week after a wonderful relaxing and fun week spent with my wonderful husband and fabulous friends ❤️🥰

I took full advantage of the all inclusive offerings and didn’t train for the week, my body needed a good rest. But we did do plenty of walking which was such a treat to walk in the beautiful ☀️

09/01/2024

To the anonymous person who sponsored me yesterday, thank you so much 🙏♥️

People’s kindness and generosity for this incredible charity is so important, so a big THANK YOU 🥰

You won’t miss me on my training walks wearing this top! 😆

I’m am raising money for Martlets Hospice. I have already had an excellent start to my fundraising by so many beautiful and generous people. I understand that not everyone is able to donate financially, if this is the case, some words of support through training will be just as valuable ♥️

Here is the link to my page if you do wish to donate a couple of quid:

First official training walk done for 100km in September 2024 raising money for ☑️ and what a glorious day to get outside in the beautiful countryside right on our doorstep 🥰

Definitely had to get the sexy thermal layers on in preparation today though 🙈😆🥶

We saw some sheep, cows and air gliders (can’t for the life of me remember what this is called 🤪)!

Then stopped off for a well earned lunch at Teddy’s in

My Strava shows just under 11 miles, but I started it late, .rq started his when I should have and we actually did just over 11 miles 🙌

Now enjoying my new foot spa that was a Christmas gift (this is going to get A LOT of use during training) 😄

03/01/2024

During this time of year, your social media newsfeeds are probably going to be full of personal trainer testimonials and probably some before and after photos of their clients to showcase their progress.

If you are expecting that from my social media, you will be disappointed!

The main reason I don’t do this is because I feel it is not my success to take credit for. It’s my clients that show up consistently and put in the hard work and deserve the credit if they choose to share. I’m just there to give them support, guidance, knowledge and an extra nudge when they need it 💪

I am proud of every single one of my clients, whatever their journey looks like, it’s different and unique for each of them.

So I guess I just wanted to say that just because I don’t share updates about my clients all the time, it doesn’t mean that I am not immensely proud of each and every one of them for staying consistent and showing up week after week, month after month and year after year.

Let’s continue the journey, towards building and maintaining the progress from the past year, moving forward into 2024 🙌🥰

As I type this I am again aware that I have been very quiet on my socials for another year. There are a few reasons for this, firstly I have been busy completing my Level 3 counselling course. I needed to dedicate my focus, time and attention on this to get the most out of it. Secondly, I have been trying to consciously spend less time on social media as I, like many people, can get a bit lost in it and lose too many valuable hours in its enticing vortex!

But right now, I find myself in this confusing time between Christmas and new year, considering baileys as a breakfast option and having a bit of time and space to reflect on the year past and the new year to come.

I prepare to leave 2023 with pride and contentment in myself for the things I achieved and excited for the new challenges that 2024 will bring 😊

I have spent my Christmas eating too much, probably drinking too much and not exercising; does that make me a bad example of a PT? Maybe 😆 but for me, I prioritise my time with loved ones over the festive time, and the gym will be ready and waiting next week to get back my exercise routine 💪

So here are a few of my tips for surviving the onslaught of fitness ads, ‘magic wands’ and unrealistic promises to get your January off to a healthy, guilt-free start 🤩

➡️ rather than focusing on REMOVING items from your diet, try and ADD instead. Try to increase the amount of vegetables and salad to bulk out your meals, and try adding more LEAN protein 🍲

➡️ choose a physical activity that you ENJOY! There really is no point in embarking on a fitness routine that you do not enjoy. You will have far more success in the long run if you choose an activity that brings you pleasure. If your budget is a consideration, why not choose activities that are free or low-cost such as walking, running or riding a bike.

➡️ be careful of the BS and promises you will see popping up on your news feed in the next few weeks! Everyone is an individual and has individual needs when it comes to health and fitness, one size DOESN’T fit all! 🧐

➡️ ENJOY the journey, trust the process and try to set yourself some small, achievable goals.

➡️ if you need more help, hire a PT 🙌

I miss my work buddy 🐶

She wasn’t always very motivational due to mainly being asleep, but she always gave good dog hugs ❤️

25/06/2023

This is my annual personal check-in for being a bit more mindful of my eating and drinking ready for holiday. In truth, I like to be able to indulge (well, over indulge tbh) in nice food and drinks when I’m spending quality time with my family and friends. So I like to be in a position to do so, without too much waistline damage the other side of holiday 😬

There is 6 weeks difference between these photos and during this time I’ve tried to make better food and drink choices but without feeling restricted and still having a social life (I’m very sociable 😆).

I also went through the heartbreak of losing my gorgeous fur baby during this time which has been difficult 💔

Being in the gym has really helped me with the heartache of losing my girl.

I enjoy the process of focussing on my food and training because I FEEL so much better.

I have more energy, sleep better, enjoy the progress and my clothes now fit me more comfortably.

I am not promoting the idea that everyone should aim to be a certain size or shape for their holiday. This is about MY journey, to feeling better inside and out for MY reasons and goals.

19/06/2023

I have been very quiet on my social media recently because I’ve been busy completing a level 2 counselling course which will end soon. I’ve now just applied for the Level 3 course starting in September 🤩

I have been a personal trainer for 13 years and during this time I have realised that many of my clients feel an emotional release as well as physical during PT sessions.

I have thought for a long time that it would be great to have more skills to be better able (and qualified) to support my clients emotionally as well as physically.

I have loved the level 2 course so far and am excited to learn more on the next stage if I am successful in my application 🥰

15 mile training walk in the bag on this gorgeous sunny day 🤩🌞

Got the train from Portslade to Lewes and walked home from there.

I’ve missed this, with my favourite walking partner .rq 🥰

And I only had 1 bushes wee 😆🙈

Celebrating with late lunch at the Hangleton Manor pub 😋

22/04/2023

First training walk done for 🙌
rq and I wanted to do 8 miles, but ended up doing 10 🙊

Ended up visiting dad’s grave and other relatives too whilst at the cemetery!

Perfect weather today for a walk ☺️

This is my fabulous PT client who also happens to be a fellow kettlebell instructor and kettlebell training enthusiast.

Nick asked if there were any good and combo’s we could do in a session and this is what I came up with 💪

This is taking core strength and stability to the next level 🙌

Thank you Nick for giving these new combo’s a go 😁
