Rhubarb Recruitment is recruiting a Head Chef for a busy Mediterranean restaurant located in the centre of Bath. We seek an experienced Head Chef to support and oversee kitchen operations. This role is suitable for either an existing Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef. The restaurant is established with excellent reviews.

The restaurant is part of a small privately operated group, with the current Head Chef moving into a new executive chef role to oversee all restaurants in the group, you will work closely with him.

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years experience as Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume kitchen.
- Knowledge of Greek or Mediterranean cuisine would be ideal but not essential.
- Ability to lead and manage a team, as well as work collaboratively with the Executive chef and restaurant management and staff.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Salary

Basic salary £38k to £45k negotiable and depending on experience + service charge worth approximately £5,000 per annum.

Rhubarb Recruitment is searching for a full-time daytime Chef for a residential care home in Clifton, Bristol. You will be working in a central kitchen which is a central catering hub for local 5 care homes, catering for up to 100 residents a day. The menu is based on traditional British food using fresh ingredients.

You will help to prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as cakes and snacks for residents between meals. You will follow menu guidelines, contribute to kitchen and food safety records, and ensure the kitchen environment is clean and tidy.

We seek previous experience as Cook, Chef, Commis Chef, Demi Chef de Partie, Chef de Partie and above. Some previous experience working in a commercial kitchen good however not essential to have formal qualifications. Full training and support can be given if you bring the right attitude.

Shift patterns

- 5 days per week, straight 8-hour shifts.
- Flexible start from between 6 am and 8 am.
