We've faced several challenges over what's been a difficult few years for everybody, and each time the team here has pulled together to overcome the odds. Sadly with the increasing price of our core ingredients (flour, butter etc) which go into just about everything we make, along with spiralling energy prices things have become unsustainable.
It's with great sadness that I have to announce that Bakers will close its doors for the final time this Saturday (10th).
I want to thank all the staff past and present that have made this place what it is and such a joy to work in, as well as all the customers and the community that have sustained us.
We hope that you can all make it down one last time before we bow out.

We are back from our holidays and ready for...well, bank holiday!
Gloucester Rd tomorrow we're going to be slinging sourdough pastry goodness along with your start of the week caffeine injection.
Bread will return Tuesday and we'll be open from Wednesday at Wapping Wharf.
Apologies for the slightly protracted openings, but thems the breaks.

Team Bakers is going to be taking a little summer holiday the next couple of weeks so we can make the most of the sun, and then come back strong and start ramping up for (whisper it!) Christmas.
Wapping Wharf will be closed 15th-28th and OG Gloucester Rd will be closed 22nd-28th. Both sites back open on the 29th.
We'll be going large on the bake for next weekend so you can stock up on all the sourdough goodness to see you through.
