He wrote and performed his one man play ‘Outskirts’ which is a semi-autobiographical play about growing up in a white predominate rural area of Norfolk, as a person of colour. ‘Outskirts’ has been performed at Sheringham Little Theatre and toured schools in partnership with Creative Arts East. He has recently set up Outskirts Outreach which aims to work with young people, theatres, schools, communities and charities. Exploring anti-racism through arts and creative safe spaces for POC.

Black communities are underrepresented in responses so far. People of Black and mixed backgrounds suffer some of the worst health inequalities, so it is really important that we/you take part. Survey is live until 30 June - tell friends, family, neighbours😊

Diane Abbott is the UKs first longest standing black female MP … in spite of her numerous accolades and decades of service to her community, country and constituency she has faced continuous disrespect & verbal abuse throughout her career, without the protection and support she so deserves from other members of parliament,it’s high time people put respect on her name!

after the recent vile, racist ,misogynistic remarks made about her ,BSE4BL stand in solidarity with Diane Abbott ✊🏽💛

Bury St Edmunds for Black Lives

OUR HISTORY

The BSE for Black Lives was born from the Bury St Edmunds Black Lives Protest that took place on the 7th June 2020. The protest was a show of solidarity for local black Lives in light of the Brutal Murder of George Floyd and many others and to highlight the oppression and inequality that black people have endured for centuries.

The protest was largely organised by members of Extinction Rebellion BSE and in consultation with black members of the community. Despite the protest being organised within a short period of time the event was widely praised by people from all backgrounds. Members of the community spoke and were able to have their voice heard and validated. It was a safe space for everyone to get together and support the cause.
