A massive thank you to all who supported the 2024 Classic Car Show at Culford. Exhibitors, Stallholders, Visitors, Sponsors, Culford School, and last but by no means least the 120 volunteers who freely gave up their time to make it all happen . We are still working out how much we made for charity but we are pretty confident it will be a record and all of this will help East Anglia's Children's Hospices - EACH, and many other local charities . We were blessed with a fine day - no mean feat in this soggy summer, and we hope you all enjoyed it - we did! Thanks to Josephine Sweetman for this photo.

Congratulations to our new president for 2024-2025 Nic Hardy, and many thanks to retiring president Alan Chadwick for a great year just coming to an end. A lovely day to celebrate the handover of the "jewels" and many thanks to past president Jill Badman, for hosting us all and and her fab son Harry Badman who wielded the barbie and cooked us some delicious food. Good luck to Nic for the year ahead.

Congratulations to Grace Secker who has won the Regional Round of our Rotary Young Photographer competition ( Senior Category). Grace ( 15) won the local heat with her picture Busy Hands and was put forward to the Regional round where her photo impressed the judges. She has now been entered for the national Rotary Young Photographer competition. Good luck Grace!. Thanks to Bury St Edmunds Photographic Society and especially their chair Josephine Sweetman for supporting our competition and Carol Street Photography for running our photo workshops. We are very proud of our young people in Bury and its great to see them shining on a bigger stage. Sadly the Wolsey Challenge Cup has gone back to the Rotary Club of Ipswich Wolsey after a close and valiant fight on the crazy golf course at the The Railway Inn Westerfield tonight. The score was 254 to us and 253 to our opponents . Really far too close after 500 shots but we did check the scores several times. Well done comrades for a brave defence of our title but it was not to be. The supper was very yummy and we had fun and that's the main thing when you don't win! Plus its a rather poxy little cup barely visible to the naked eye

We are enjoying hosting our visitors from Kevelaer Rotary this weekend.
A trip to the wonderful Pakenham Water Mill, with a delicious lunch in the sunshine. We then went to the Theatre Royal, Bury St. Edmunds for a fascinating tour.
Dinner at the Farmers Club rounded off a day of friendship and fun 😀

The Bury Abbey Rotary Club team of Hayley, Clyde, Vincent and Melanie swam 70 lengths in 40 mins in the Rotary Club of St Edmunds Swimarathon today.
There were 24 teams swimming for many good causes.
