I've always known they existed, but only last Friday did I finally meet someone else with the name Chip! Many thanks to Bethany of Hope Tree School for introducing me to Chip the JellyCat Seagull. $:-)
I couldn't've asked for a more serene end to the school year than spending it sharing stories with the awesomely creative souls at Hope Tree, who inspire me as much as I (try to) give them reasons to smile. Thanks again for having me, folks!
And for those who don't know, Bethany's the incredible artist featured in 'All the Better to Read You With'. $;-)

Rather didn't expect my week to end with a visit to the Meadows Community Centre to meet a whole host of folks doing amazing work around Cambridge City with shelters for the homeless, activities for the lonely, support for young carers, and more... and then to shake hands with Queen Camilla!
Her Majesty and I discussed our shared passion for encouraging young people to develop a love of literacy. She happened to also enjoy my colourful shirt, which gave me the opportunity to mention and share my wonderful portrait from Bethany of Hope Tree School (which can now be found in the book 'All the Better to Read You With'). Her Majesty was most impressed. $:-)
The Queen has been a keen promoter of reading for pleasure since long before her coronation. It was an honour to exchange thanks with her on behalf of new recreational readers nationwide. My huge thanks to Lord Lieutenant Julie for inviting me, too!
