In-depth session with Davide.
Focusing on the 4 coroners of Tai Chi, incorporating more spirals.
Great lesson.
Great private lesson with Mike this morning.
Mainly working on waving hands like clouds in Tai Chi.
Co-ordination was a little challenging but we got there π looking forward to next weeks instalment.
8am private lesson for Matt working on Yang Cheng Fu form understanding the applications. Excellent session and a great way to start my Saturday.
Now, my 9am Kung Fu Kids class then 10am Ladies Kickboxing.

Itβs always good to see Wayne & Shelly and Steve for their private lessons.
An in-depth lesson with Wayne & Shelly, working on some of the 8 core skills understanding soften and connect through the body. Then close & compress twist and release.
Steve enjoyed working on Grasp Sparrows tail form and just started a small part of section 1 of the Yang Cheng Fu form.

Mindfulness seminar with Steve Rowe.
Understanding the difference between mindfulness and meditation.
Before being able to meditate you have to become more mindful.
Steve explained and taught how you turn your mind inwards focusing on breathing, posture and just observing your thoughts and letting them pass.
An amazing 3 hours with a great bunch of people. I learnt so much more about Yin and Yang energy.
Advance Tai Chi coaching course today.
We had a recap run through of long boxing, broad sword, double edge sword and then went to work training on the spear.
The main focus was driving all techniques with the waist and feet.
Keeping all joints loose with the head straight.
Steve explained how you have to constantly practice the techniques until you internalise it and it becomes a part of you.

Tai Chi this morning.
Working on Yang Cheng Fu section 1.
Finishing with some pairs work focusing on stick, blend and redirect which leads into the martial aspect of Tai Chi.

Luca has only had a few sessions with me and has made a great improvement.
His main focus has been to work on stances & posture.
Through attending regular classes & practicing at home, Luca has steadily progressed along with his focus.
RULE #1 PRACTICE EVERY DAY.

A great Tai Chi session this morning in Maidstone with this lovely lot.
We managed to get through all of section 1 of Yang Cheng Fu form.
Focusing on direction, stances and what to do with both hands.
A very well done to Colin Whitman on his intense training session. π
I worked him hard and he never gave up.
We worked on endurance, mindset and being light on the feet.
A great Team leader and a great role model.

Using the sword like a painter would use a brush to paper. Moving with elegance but sharp intent.
