It's not always about the bride and groom on the 'big day' but it kinda is about the bride and groom on this occasion! That said, without friends, family and guests at a wedding, it wouldn't be a wedding. So, these next posts are a shout-out to all the guests at weddings who reconnect with relatives they've not seen in a while, meet new additions to families through a bit of baby sniffing and ultimately be there for the couple who are declaring their love in-front of their nearest and dearest ❤️

The City of Steel comes good on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the time couples have when it's just them and the photographer is special as they're far from the madding crowd, giving them space to just be, to be together. And then it's time to throw some cutty shapes on the dancefloor! 💃 🕺

What's the best way to avoid dried flowers going in your face... to open your mouth obviously! Shame the guests where really poor shots and missed a hole-in-one!

The sun's ☀️ shining & the Pimm's 🍹 is flowing which can only mean one thing - WEDDING!

There's nothing more important than comfortable footwear on your wedding day! It's a long day and those 'angry' shoes just get even more angrier as the day goes on so thinking about a change post-ceremony is def worth considering. The bride opted for some personalised Converse all-stars that where pretty awesome and pretty comfy!

Usually it's a very long day with travel to and from a wedding but this time I was only 10 minutes from my house and what a location it was, nestled on the edge of Chesterfield with panoramic views, the couple hired a tipi and brought caterers on-site. Hay bales and blankets topped off the rural theme.

Sometimes the only way to calm the nerves before the 'big day' is a visit to the hotel bar before the ceremony! Hopefully your best man and groomsmen won't get too carried away as there's still duties to perform but it's a great distraction and settler. As the venue and the hotel where within a stone's throw, it was possible to capture both the groom and bride getting ready in the morning.

Capturing intimate moments of the wedding couple as they spend a few minutes alone, away from the guests, is a precious time where they can relax before rejoining the party for speeches and dance moves! I'm grateful to all the couples who've let me crash their alone-time by pointing my camera 📷 at them!

What a corker of a venue! Oozing typical English country house gardens, sprinkled with a few castle turrets, water features and private grounds for you and your guests to enjoy, what's not to like??? Ohh and when the suns shining and the Pimms is flowing, you couldn't ask for a better background for your wedding photos!

It's always fun 'hanging out' with the lads before the ceremony as there's this air of nervous anticipation and despite all the bravado even the most nonchalant groom will be wobbling inside, occasionally freaking out and constantly asking his best man if he's still got the rings!!!
Thanks to the team at Red on Blonde Photography for brining me in again on this one, it's always a blast.

The wedding schedule can sometimes feel like a military operation, accounting for every minute and second of the day as there's so much to consider but... those precious 5, 10, 15 mins you set aside for shooting some couples portraits will last forever ❤️.

The gardens and grounds at Hawkstone Hall & Gardens are the perfect backdrop and setting to capture romantic, tender and loving images ❤️. They also have a golf buggy so no need to worry about walking everywhere as they'll whisk you around in super quick time!

Hawkstone Hall & Gardens is an awesome self-contained venue where you and your guests can easily navigate between different parts of the mansion as the day unwinds. There's no need to organise coaches, buses and different venues, as this place has it all under one roof. Plus it's set within 88-acres of amazing gardens and Shropshire landscape!

Had the pleasure of shooting with Red on Blonde Photography at this wonderful and historic venue nestled within the Shropshire countryside. Hawkstone Hall & Gardens have created a man-cave for the lads to relax, chill out, play a bit of pool or do some gaming. It's a fab space to calm those nerves before the day starts to unfold.
