🌟 Exciting Lego Project at Millburn and St Malachy’s! 🌟
We are thrilled to share that children from Millburn and St Malachy’s teamed up to create a fantastic shared town using Lego!
This wonderful project was organized by P7 teacher Mr. Coyles from St Malachy’s, Mr. Handforth from Millburn, alongside Ulster University’s Beverly McCormick and Professor Roger Austin.
We were delighted to have students from America join us to observe the creativity and collaboration.
A special thank you to Paul Close, Head of Shared Education, for his support and presence.
Well done to all the young builders – your teamwork and imagination were truly inspiring! 🚀🏙️
🏖️☀️ P2 AND P3 END OF YEAR TRIP ☀️🏖️
The P2 and P3 classes had such a brilliant day at Wacky Workshop in Portrush and a visit to the beach afterwards 🤩
Everyone had so much fun playing in Wacky Workshop and later they enjoyed building sandcastles, finding seashells and even burying eachother in sand at the beach! ☀️🏖️😃
What a great day to celebrate the wonderful year all the boys and girls have had! ✨
We are so proud of you all 🤍✨
Primary 6 had a great end of year school trip at the Jet Centre. They played bowling and recorded some high scores 🎳 before heading to the cinema to watch Garfield. What a great show 📽️

🚢 P5’s Titanic Cabins 🚢
Our creative P5s have been very busy making 1st, 2nd and 3rd class cabins based on their knowledge of their topic, Titanic.
They showcased their understanding wonderfully today when interviewed by the P7s.
⭐️ Well done, P5! Outstanding effort! ⭐️
⭐️ Preparing for our Summer Fair! ⭐️

⭐️ LEAVERS’ TRIP DAY 4 PART 2 ⭐️
P7 made more memories last night at their school residential. We stayed at the Ballyhome Residential Centre. Here the P7’s organised their bedrooms, tidied up after dinner and supper. We had some time to ourselves, played outside and eventually got dressed up for our Leavers’ disco!
A massive thank you to Flash in the Pan, Ballymoney, for delivering a lovely dinner!
There are some tired children (and staff) today as they get ready to wrap up their leavers’ trip!
⭐️ LEAVERS’ TRIP DAY 4 ⭐️
Despite the horrendous weather, P7’s had an amazing time in the water this morning. Portrush Surf School TK ensured that the kids were able to have fun even without waves! 🌊
After the fantastic experience in the water, the kids enjoyed a scrumptious Ramore Wine Bar lunch!
I don’t think we want this week to end! 🖤🖤
Now for our ‘Residential’ overnight stay! 😃
⭐️ LEAVERS’ TRIP DAY 3 ⭐️
Another great day of fun at The Jungle in Moneymore! The sun shone for us today and the kids enjoyed various activities including zorbing, paintballing and trampolining!
Just over half way completed and it has been an outstanding week so far….
Stay tuned for tomorrow….. it’s an exciting one! 😎
🍓 Primary 2 love strawberries! 🍓
Yesterday, P2 went to the Polytunnel to check up on the strawberries they planted a few weeks ago. They were so happy to see there were lots of strawberries ready to pick!
While they were there, the boys and girls got to water the other planting beds and check how the other produce was coming along. 🥕🥬
We then came back to the classroom, washed our strawberries and got to enjoy testing them out. They were delicious! 🍓🤍
Well done P2🌟🌟
⭐️ LEAVERS’ TRIP DAY 2 ⭐️
After a busy day yesterday, it was only right that the class of 24 had a nice relaxing day at the cinema. They started the day off with a game of bowling then watched Garfield the movie.
Another enjoyable day, ready for another busy day tomorrow….
Stay tuned!
😃
Well done to our girls Camogie and boys Gaelic football team who played at a tournament organised by Loreto College today. 👏
The teams showed determination and skill in every game. Fantastic play and heart shown by every player. We are so proud of you all!🌟
Thanks to everyone in Loreto who helped organised a brilliant day! 👏
Also massive thank you to RH Joinery Ltd for sponsoring our amazing new kits! 🙌
⭐️ LEAVERS’ TRIP - DAY 1 ⭐️
What an amazing day at Emerald Park! A perfect way to start our Leavers’ Trip for the class of 24!
The children and staff had a great day out! 🖤
The primary 6 pupils have been working very hard preparing a poem to mark the end of the school year. We hope you all enjoy “The Wrong Classroom,” by P6
Today our Primary 6 girls welcomed pupils and staff from Rockport School in Holywood and joined them in a friendly netball match. The girls played brilliantly, showing great skill and determination in their game. We were unlucky to lose by one goal, with Rockport winning 8 goals to our 7. Well played Rockport! We hope you enjoy the rest of your school trip to the North Coast. A great way to end our netball season Primary 6 and prepare for next year.
🍳 BIG BREAKFAST 🍳
Despite the weather, we had an amazing morning for our ‘Big Breakfast!’
We love hosting this as it allows our school community to prosper. It was great seeing all of the children eating with their families and friends.
Thanks to our St Malachys P.S PTA Events for organising this amazing morning.
Thanks to all of the local businesses for donating the breakfast items!
A big shoutout to all the children who represented St. Malachy’s in today’s Interschools’ Athletics Championships. In terrible conditions, the boys and girls did themselves and the school proud, competing gallantly in all the events. They all represented the school superbly and should be very proud of themselves 🏅🏃🏃🏻♀️👍🏻
