RED: Rufus the Red Dragon - Late Lunch New story book supporting children's mental health

08/02/2022

We are super excited to announce the launch of ‘RED: A Manx Dragon Called Rufus’ - the second book of the Manx Bedtime Stories written by Robert G. Cowley and illustrated by Karmen St John-Cain.

The story follows the tale of a Manx dragon called Rufus and his journey to discover the power of his voice, embracing his differences rather than hiding them away. You never know who is listening…

A feel-good family fiction raising money for Manx Mental Health Charity, Isle Listen, to support their ongoing work with children in our community. The launch coincides with Children’s Mental Health Week 7th-13th February 2022 - so what better time to support such a worthwhile cause!

Grab your copy today from Shoprite stores, Lexicon Bookshop, Mostly Manx, or order straight to your door over on our website:
https://www.bunchcreative.im/red-a-manx-dragon-called-rufus

13/01/2022

Start 2022 of with a BANG... or a roar, should we say.

Following the success of PINK: The Adventures of a Manx Fairy*, we are delighted to be working on the second installment of the Manx Bedtime Stories; RED: A Dragon called Rufus.

Raising money for Isle Listen we follow the tale of a lovable dragon, Rufus, as he encourages young children to embrace their differences rather than hide them away, a real feel-good family fiction.

We are looking for individual or business sponsors to help bring this story to life (literally!) and get involved in a magical world of fairies, unicorns and dragons. Go on, release that inner child... *ehem* dragon.

For more information drop us a message, leave a comment or contact us at [email protected], or why not spread the message and give this a share - this may be the perfect opportunity for one of your contacts!

I think we can all agree this year has been rather bonkers, and in all the busy bustling bonkerness we have neglected to share all the amazing projects we’ve had the pleasure to work on this year!

So as 2021 draws to a close, we’ve gathered a BUNCH of our faves, with a promise to come back bigger and better in the new year.

Thank you so much to all our amazing clients who have trusted us with your projects and given us the opportunity to grow, whilst supporting the Family Library in the process! It’s very much appreciated.

We loooove seeing this little PINK book popping up everywhere! If you haven’t ordered one yet what are you waiting for!?🧚🏽‍♀️✨

Flying into stores near you! 🧚‍♀️✨ New children’s book for charity “PINK: The Adventures of a Manx Fairy” is now available to buy online and in Isle of Man shops.

Alongside the Isle of Man Arts Council and Patricia Wild Optometrists, we’re delighted to have supported the creation of this wonderful book (we even built the fairy houses!).

Written by local author and retired schoolteacher Robert G Cowley, the story follows the fantastical adventures of Anais and a pink Manx fairy called Jasmine.

This dazzling tale of magic and unicorns has been brilliantly brought to life with vibrant and expressive illustrations by Karmen St John-Cain, a wonderfully talented 14-year-old artist with high functioning autism.

Costing just £5, all proceeds from the sale of the book will go directly towards charity Breast Cancer Now Volunteering in Isle of Man, helping them continue their vital work in our local community.

“PINK: The Adventures of a Manx Fairy” is now available to buy in the Lexicon Bookshop Douglas, with copies making their way to all major Shoprite Isle of Man stores across the Island from Wednesday 26 May.

The book can also be ordered online directly from the publisher, BUNCH:

What a lovely little thank you note! It’s always nice to hear how much our work is appreciated.✨

Thanks for trusting us with your book Rob - it’s been an absolute pleasure!

Fairy Jasmine, Anais and Gaga want to say a BIG thank you to Phoebe at BUNCH Creative.

I'm sure you will agree when you read it that "PINK :The Adventures of a Manx Fairy" is a quality product. The story has been called "charming" ... the illustrations from Karmen are again wonderful ... but there has been another very committed contributor to this project, Phoebe.

Phoebe is a very talented graphic designer and BUNCH publisher who has dedicated many, many hours into making sure the design and layout of the book were as good as they possibly could be. "PINK" is the first book in the BUNCH BOOKS collection and I hope other local authors sign up to the company and benefit from her skills and professionalism.

25/05/2021

It’s finally here - yippeeee!🧚🏽‍♀️💖

PINK: The Adventures of a Manx Fairy is a delightfully PINK tale (obvs) full of fairies, unicorns and sparkles galore!

Written by local author Robert G Cowley and beautifully illustrated by Karmen St John-Cain, this is a masterpiece that Bunch have been delighted to be a part of.

A little fairy told me there’s more to come of this series yet, watch this space...👀
