This is the only information we collect at our groups - the number of guys who have attended and how many have attended for the first time.

Seeing this number fluctuate or increase each week is both heartwarming and heartbreaking.

It’s great seeing that men are getting the support they need, but it is also difficult to know that there are so many men out there who are struggling. ♥️

Come along to the Recovery Cafe Drop in on Thursdays at Hilltown Community Centre and get support with your from people with lived experience.

Team 1 on tonight with a fairly quiet and chilled night feeding around 35 people.

Hot food was made by Susie/Joan and was Tomato Mince Pasta and Sausage and Beans both with crusty bread.

Hot drinks were issued out, along with all receiving take away bags from our donations from Greggs.

We welcomed a new volunteer Julie tonight who helped issue out bags and talk to people.

Saturday was another successful evening for the Garden Team. We served mince and potatoes which Maureen kindly made and we served rolls, fruit and sweet treats to around 30 of our guests. Our team also gave out take home bags filled with lovely bakery items from Greggs. As always, 🙏🏻 big loving thanks to our volunteers… Chris, Donna, Jackie, Mary, Pam and Maureen. Please keeping supporting our fabulous cause! Big love ❤️ # # #

SAFE ZONE SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATE 📢

We’ve decided to combine Dundee Safe Zone with our main TCA account - Tayside Council on Alcohol 📲

From now on, all of our Safe Zone content will be posted on TCA’s social media pages, and this account will be deactivated soon.

So to keep up with Dundee Safe Zone’s updates, stories and events make sure to keep an eye on TCA’s social pages!

What is peer support?

For us, it's a chance to bring people together to give and receive mutual support in a peer group setting.

Our aim is to bring people together who can share their experience of mental health, emotions, and life.

It’s your chance to talk and an opportunity to learn about how others in similar situations manage their symptoms or experiences and connect with people who know what it’s like to feel the way you do.

At this time of year we are surrounded by nature's bounty but we probably don't even know it! We have lost the habit of foraging for our food. This is your chance to have a go, learn how to recognise plants and fruits we can eat. What better way to spend a summer's evening than a guided walk and a forage🍒🫐🪷🌸 with our resident expert here in the Hilltown!😊 Everyone is welcome along and yes.....it's FREE.
