Best of luck guys.
After a fantastic start to the World Championships for Miss McNair taking the gold for Junior Female Special technique and comfortably getting through her first round of sparring she unfortunately had to pull out of the rest of the event due to an ankle injury.
Whilst itโs not the campaign she had hoped for its still been a great experience being able to perform at this level with the best in the World.
A European and World title within 6 months is a massive achievement and an amazing takeaway for her first year competing as part of the national squad.
Next up is a lot of rest and rehab to get ready for selections for a spot on the senior team for the 2024 Euros!
After two days of competition Miss Purves has finished her time competing here in Finland.
Itโs been an amazing experience for her. Not only has she trained in an underground bunker and carried the flag for her country she has also had the opportunity to compete at the first ever ITF Pre Junior World Championships.
She went out to a strong German opponent in her patterns and in her sparring she went out to a Ukrainian fighter who went on to take silver in her division. She might not have got the results that she would have liked but she has gained a huge amount of experience to take onto her next events.
Well done Miss Purves, we are all very proud of you!
Now for two more days in the stadium cheering on her Scotland team mates. ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ
Itโs day 2 and both of our competitors are back on the mats today. Power Breaking for Miss McNair and Sparring for Miss Purves. Good luck to both of you!

Meet Grace (age 10), who has been training with us since she was age 5.
Grace trains in our junior TaeKwon-Do class at Bannatynes and is currently a green belt. Over the years we have seen Graceโs confidence grow and as a senior in her class she is an excellent role model for the newer / younger students.
Her favourite parts of Taekwon-Do are patterns and kicking and after competing at our club competition last year she is hoping to get into more competing.
Keep up the great work Grace!
