During my short time doing PT, one thing which stands out more than anything with people are excuses. People start with good intentions, stop, start again, stop, start again. You will never achieve anything without consistency. There should be no excuse for your Health, Fitness and Wellbeing. Make that a priority. There are people busier than you, more injured than you, more sick than you, smashing their goals. Don't make excuses.

After successfully trialling Online Personal Training, I am now set up and ready to offer this. I now have a dedicated App where I can create a personalised program for you, create a workout schedule, and you can complete self guided workouts whenever it suits you, using video demonstrations of each exercise. Also included is step tracking, nutrition logging and tracking, body metrics tracking, and tracking of Exercise PRs. During the program, you can submit a weekly check in for accountability, and we will review the program every 4 weeks to set new goals and targets.

Each program is tailored to you based on your schedule, goals and the equipment you have available. Program's available from 12 weeks. Please get in touch if you require any further information.

She's probably going to kill me for putting this on here, but here goes!

Just under a year ago, Rachel decided she wanted to loose a bit of weight. She agreed to be my case study Client when I was training as a PT, and she also signed up for the C25k with Durham City Harriers. Before she started the C25k, she did a 12 minute run to see where she was. She struggled to run 1 mile in that time, and I'll be honest, I had my doubts wether she would finish the C25k.

After a few weeks, she started to feel fitter, and lost a stone within the first 4 weeks. Her running improved week by week, and she finished the C25k, running 5k in well under 30 mins.

She then decided to join the Durham City Harriers main group, and started to attend their weekly sessions. She started to identify races which she would like to do, and we set about planning which races would be suitable for her. She did a few more Parkruns and 5k races, and her 5k time started to massively improve, and the weight continued to drop off her.

She signed up for a couple of Autumn 10k races which she did comfortably, and then completed a brutal 10 mile trail run at Hamsterly Forest. After this, she started to think about Half Marathons, and signed up for 2. The first of these, she completed yesterday in an incredible time of just over 1h45m!

I am so proud of Rachel, and I hope she can be an inspiration to others to never give up on your dreams, and prove that anything can be achieved if you set yourself realistic goals and targets, and work consistently hard to achieve them.

I'm currently trialing an online PT app and I'm looking for a few clients to follow a 4 week programme and give me feedback about it, no charge and totally free. It will include downloading the PT app and following 4 self guided workouts each week, including an upper body, lower body, full body and HIIT workout. There will be video demonstrations of each exercise to keep you right. You must have access to your own equipment such as dumbbells or kettlebells. Please get in touch if you'd like further info.

Firstly, Happy New Year and I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!

So anyone who knows me personally will know I've had a difficult few months, and lost both my Mam and Gran within the space of a few weeks, hence why I have been quiet on here.

I've continued to work with a few clients, but I'm now ready to push on and have spaces available for a few more clients.

If you'd rather avoid the busy gyms at this time of year, and would prefer 1-1 personal training sessions, then feel free to get in touch. I can either bring equipment to you, or we can do a 1-1 session by video call using bodyweight and/or your own equipment, making it super convenient and you don't even need to leave the house!

I will do a 45 minute taster session for just £10, then there are a number of options available after for either 30, 45 or 60 minute sessions. Sessions can be booked as single sessions, or I will do 6 sessions for the price of 5 as a block booking.

Just a quick update as I haven't posted nothing for a while. I'm currently working with a few Clients, and probably enough whilst working my 9-5 job and getting my head around things. I'd like to say thanks to my Clients and I'm very much enjoying working with you all. It's so rewarding seeing you improve week by week, and I can't wait to see you smash your goals!

I quite often get asked about my running journey, so I would like to give a bit more info with the hope it can inspire others.

As a child, I was never athletically gifted, and hated running all through school and throughout my 20s, but loved playing football. I played football up until my early 30s, then I began to get into cycling. Kids came along, and I found it difficult to fit the longer bike rides in, so I started to do a bit of running as it was less time consuming.

I started off running 5k's at round about 25 minutes, but became obsessed with getting that time down, and pushed towards my ultimate goal of running sub 20 mins. It took me a good few years of consistent training, and hovering just over 20 minutes for quite some time, but then incredibly I went out and ran sub 19 at a Parkrun.

I have continued to push to get that time down further, and this year I have ran under 17.30 twice at the age of 41. My goal now is to run under 17 minutes, and all my training is focused around trying to achieve that.

I now love running and appreciate all the health benefits it can give you. Not just physically, but also mentally.

So we're well into September now. The dark nights are starting to draw in, the kids are back to school, the summer holiday is a distant memory, and everyone is starting to think about (dare I say it) Christmas! Motivation isn't so good anymore, and it's easy to fall into bad habits and gain weight. Don't let this happen to you. There are still over 3 months left of this year. Finish the year strong, and be in great shape for the start of next year, ready to smash your goals. If you need any help, then please get in touch.

A lot of runners go out with no structure or plan, and just coast around the same workouts at the same pace. If you're looking to improve your running, you'll need to do structured workouts at target paces. So today, my workout consisted of 10x90s at my target 5K Pace with 90s walking recoveries. This was a very tough session which pushed me to my limits. If you'd like some structure to your training, or you'd like help setting some goals, please get in touch.

All 6 session bookings will include a free consultation where we can discuss your goals/targets, and a health assessment to take measurements such as Weight, BMI, BFP etc. I will then tailor a 6 week plan for your goals/targets, which will include 1 weekly PT session, and I will be in regular contact to ensure you stick to your workout regime, and hold you accountable to maintain healthy habits!

Welcome to my page. A little introduction about myself.

After working in Engineering for over 20 years and turning 40 last year, I decided I wanted to learn something new. I have always had a passion for fitness and keeping fit, so I decided to enrol on the Personal Training Diploma, and I am pleased to say I am now qualified. I am also a qualified Football Coach and Run Leader, and currently hold Voluntary roles for various clubs.

I have many years experience of competing in various different sports, including Football, Running, Cycling, Swimming, and Multisport Events such as Triathlon and Duathlon.

I am now in a position to startup as a Mobile Personal Trainer. If you're looking for a Personal Trainer, then I am available to either come to your house, or meet in a public place for PT sessions. If the gym isn't for you, or you don't have time, I can bring the gym to you for your own convenience. If you're looking to loose weight, tone up, build strength/muscle, improve general fitness or performance, then please get in touch.

Just to confirm I am fully insured with Public Liability Insurance, DBS checked, and Level 3 First Aid Trained, and can provide proof if requested.
