Thought I’d spice things up tonight - really wanna revisit things I used to hate in my younger days!
When I did my PT diploma, spinning was part of the course, I point blank refused! Nah!
I have to say I enjoyed that, even better it was virtual and I was on my own which relieved my anxiety for the first session in god knows how many years!
I’d defo do it again!
Pushed me out of my comfort zone - we all need that!
I’m drenched!

Ran from the top of Findon Hill, down past New College, along Fram front st, down the dual carriageway - felt really good until just before 4 miles at the Red Lion and my legs started to feel like lead!
I walked for a bit then tried to run again - nah! Legs wouldn’t let me!

How has your week been?
Beginning for me was absolute garbage!
Still felt rotten yeah but I just kept making excuse after excuse to do nowt and eat more!
So, Wednesday evening I said that’s it, no more, after I stuffed a McDonalds down my throat!
I’ve managed to pull back some control…
🚶♀️ 2 workouts per day Thursday and Friday, lots of walks over the weekend including today with my Charlie
🤤 No takeaways whatsoever and the pic you see before you is my tea whilst my hubs enjoyed a Father’s Day Indian
I feel I have more energy, less bloated, I’m sleeping better and my cravings have just about gone.

Raring to get stuck in again tomorrow!

Not gonna lie I’m still buzzing with tonight’s run time.
I definitely run quicker and much more comfortably outside, especially with my new feet!
I had to have a 2min walk after the first 20mins of running but then thrashed on until the end to hit 4 miles in just over 45mins.
It’s like getting a certificate at school!

So, progress and I’m going to go against a lot of advice we get constantly and have done for a long time.
🥘 Nutrition tracking - NO!
WHAT! You can’t lose weight without tracking!
Personally, I can’t lose weight with tracking either as I become completely OBSESSED with numbers, then binge if nothing changes. So I decided to release the pressure. I’ve been tracking for 10 years, I’ve got a decent knowledge of what’s what. Protein and fibre at every meal or snack. Plenty water!
🏋🏻♀️ Exercise - YEP!
I LOVE routine and so does my body. I’ve never been a gym bunny but the gym is really working for me this time round and I stick to a programme which always has progression and gets mixed up every 6 weeks. Out of my comfort zone and it’s working! Equally I have a cracking training partner, helps IMMENSELY! If I’m helping to motivate someone else, my motivation rockets. Exercise 6 days out of 7, hit 10k steps each day.
⚖️ Daily weigh-ins - NO!
OMG EMMA! Why!? Cos I become OBSESSED! Numbers can ruin everything for me, my motivation and complete self worth goes out of the window! I’ve weighed every day since May 2017, not anymore. I weighed today for the first time in 2 weeks. Big thing for me.
🍷 Alcohol - YES!
I know, it’s not good for you. But I enjoy it, I enjoy socialising. Try not to go to far these days but if I do, I do I don’t beat myself up and feel a rack of guilt then binge eat. I’m concious of my activity and food intake before I have a booze and equally what I eat whilst and after, always prepared!
🔥 Results - I have lost……..4lbs on the scales! 6inches from across my body! Built muscle. My behind has changed but I’m not ready to share that yet lol maybe another 12 weeks!
Hope this helps someone else to believe in themselves, you can do this.
Consistency, routine but mostly self belief!

That’s when ‘Emma-fit’ was born! Live Facebook sessions hosted in a private group for 50p a day! Less than the cost of a cuppa! Bingo! The idea behind it, is that clients can work out early doors in the comfort of their own home with myself, on their phones/tablets or even TV screen! Half an hour full body work out before the kids get out of bed, quick shower then get on with your hectic day. If the early morning start isn’t convenient, the session is available in the Facebook group to do at any time of day to suit the client.
