🌟The Stephen Mills Postgraduate Studentships🌟
The Department of Earth Sciences, is pleased to announce two (2) MSc by Research awards intended to benefit students undertaking research in the Earth or Natural Sciences. These awards are kindly funded by a bequest from Stephen Mills an alumnus of the department. These two awards will provide for UK/EU tuition fees only (£4,195) and one of the awards is for Durham alumni only.

In recognition of International Women’s Day on 8th March, staff from the PVC Colleges & Student Experience Office are working in partnership with staff and students across the University in organising a Tampon & Towel Donation Drive for homeless and vulnerable women in the North East.

BEN TAYLORSON is the Academic Liaison Librarian for Applied Social Sciences, Earth Sciences, English and Geography. If you need help with finding resources for your assignments in any of these disciplines, he's the right person to ask!
As he is also responsible for liaising with the Foundation Centre and the International Study Centre, you can find him either at the Bill Bryson Library or at Queen’s Campus Library at Stockton.
‘I’ve been asked all sorts whilst on the Subject Support Point: How do I find newspaper articles? Can you help me with my dissertation literature search? Can I borrow your phone to ring IKEA?’.

Drop-in sessions are available at your Subject Support Point at the Bill Bryson Library, on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 4pm throughout Epiphany Term. Team Durham Holiday Camps are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to work on sports and activity camps for primary school aged children over the February, Easter and Summer school holidays 2018.
Working for the Holiday Camps requires experience in sport, including the coaching of it, and you must have a minimum of a Level 1 qualification in a sport or equivalent in dance/ movement. It is an excellent job opportunity to gain coaching experience and earn some money over the holidays whilst having some fun!
