🚨 Calling all patients aged 18 and over registered at Littleborough Group Practice, Pennine Surgery, Trinity Medical Centre, The Village Medical Centre, Milnrow Village Practice and Stonefield Street Surgery!🚨

We are excited to announce a Well Man Day Event provided by the Primary Care Network - Pennines. This will be held at Littleborough Health Centre, on the 6th July 2024 between 10:30am-1:00pm focusing on Men's health issues.

We have liaised with our Practice Patient Participation Groups as our community voices to ensure that we cover as many areas as possible that some of our male patients find difficult to engage with. As a result, we will be talking all things personal: Prostate, Diabetes, Mental Health, Weight management and any other condition you are either concerned about or would like to discuss. We will have Male GPs on site this day for you to engage with directly. Dr Handford will be hosting a talk about PSA tests and Prostate Cancer at 11am, and we will have nurses available for discrete NHS health checks on the day.

There will also be information available for a number of other services such as mental health, dementia support, local men's clubs and lifestyle advice services.

Although this event is centered around male health issues, all genders are welcome.

We will also be hosting a Well Woman Day later in the year, details to be announced at a later date.

We look forward to seeing you there!

We do have COVID vaccination clinics for anyone who hasn’t already had their first vaccine or anyone who requires their second and it’s been at least 8 weeks.

Currently Flu vaccines cannot be given at the same time but we hope this guidance will change.

We have appointments for Saturday 11th and Tuesday 14th both of which will be at the surgery, as the Mass vaccination centre at littleborough sports centre is now closed.

06/09/2021

Dear Patient

Sorry for the lack of information regarding the annual flu vaccination. You may have seen on the news there were some delays and we were unsure if our Practice was going to be affected.

Thankfully we have had a delivery of our vaccines today.

We are currently inviting;

➡️ All patients ages 50 years or older
➡️ Patients who are clinically at risk
➡️ Pregnant
➡️ Carers (who receive Carers allowance)

We will be texting out to patients today.

If you don’t wish to have the Flu Vaccine, please reply to you text with the word “decline” and we can update your record.

We are receiving a number of queries regarding the COVID vaccination booster, at this point we have no update to share and are still waiting on confirmation as soon as we get this we will be in touch.
