He was a great guy with a great passion for ska and other music and he had the great love for spending and making time for supporters and friends he had an amazing heart ❤️ we will all miss him so much he made the meadows crowd go wild and our meadows panda loved going stage with them. Plus he told us he they loved playing our Meadows Festival Edinburgh rip Andrew Laidlaw we all loved you ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 we will never forget our amazing friend thanks for the years of support and entertainment.

Very sorry to announce that we are having to cancel today’s gig at as Alex has sadly lost his voice. He’s been doing all the remedies hoping for a miracle but it’s not working it’s magic quick enough. So sorry everyone! Hopefully see you at the next one!

🎤 Introducing our Tonegarden main stage artists 🎤

The Phoenix Choir - Edinburgh Gospel choir are bringing their soulful tunes to Meadows Festival Edinburgh on Sunday 4th June at 12pm noon 🙌

Up-beat, fast-paced, auditioned Soul & Gospel group in the heart of Edinburgh! We sing 4-5 part harmonies which are taught by ear, with a range of music from old-school gospel, to soul, R&B, Motown, neo-soul, and contemporary tunes - song which kick a groove and pack a punch.

We love performing - and host our own shows as well as performing at events around Scotland! We've hosted shows in The Queens Hall, La Belle Angele, The Assembly Roxy, and have also performed in The Usher Hall (Colours Classical), Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, Brewhemia, Edinburgh Festival Fringe Launch Party, Kelburn Garden Party, Edinburgh's Christmas Light Night, Royal Highland Show, LGBT Health & Wellbeing Celebration - and we've also recorded for The War & Treaty, The Lutras, SHY & DRS and have appeared on STV!
