The local businesses, suppliers & producers have been an absolute pleasure to work with! The addition of homegrown salad & herbs picked from the kitchen garden - what a season it's been 👩🏽🍳🧡💫
Sunday Roasts ✨️
Ending the season with hearty plates of roasted goodness. Nothing better on a Sunday 🧡
Each week was a different protein sourced directly from Mull & Iona. We started with Glengorm Beef followed by Sgriob-ruadh Pork Belly then Lamb Shanks finishing with Iona Hogget! Served with all the trimmings! Delicious!
It's something I absolutely love to cook and eat so it was a pleasure sharing this with our guests! Snuggles on the sofa with the pups is the only thing on the agenda after this!
Tucked into a deliciously fresh & flavoursome tasting menu yesterday evening - a special treat for our lovely right hand woman, Sue, who turned 60 this week 💎
My two fave dishes - Monfish with an XO sauce & Glengorm lamb! Both showcasing an excellent use of local produce 👏🏽
The XO sauce combined some of my favourite ingredients and had a punch of unami with the addition of scallop roe which gave it an extra depth - moreish!!

4 months on Mull - that went FAST! Been a bit MIA lately but here's a round up of some island eats we've been enjoying on days off 😍🙌🏽
1. The BEST 🍕 from - if you visit Iona, Ailidh is NOT to be missed!
2. Our go to brunch spot - weekly changing menu with all day brunch and lunch plus yummy home bakes! We usually order 3 or 4 dishes from the menu to share and roll out...
3. Lobster rolls 🦞 from .piece.box - their homemade brioche rolls are divinely soft and fluffy!
4. Sunday roast from - the best roast I've had on the island, not to forget the VIEWS! Gutted we can't visit for dinner due to similar business hours.
5. The ultimate sausage rolls from - even better enjoyed with a coffee and view over Loch Buie after we've taken Pinot for a sea dip!
6. Smoked salmon & trout 🐟 from - I use their produce in a number of dishes & the treats Sally makes up at local markets is always a grab & go treat!
7. Coffee & weekly changing home baked goods at .glass.barn.mull.cheese - a special spot on the island ✨️!
8. Takeaway bunch at - perfectly cooked poachies & that hollandaise...
9. Good old pub grub at our local 🍻

A well deserved day off spent exploring some of the island in the spring sunshine & soaking up all that's happened this month! It's been a happy blur of time that's flown in but I'm ecstatic to have made many bellies very satisfied! I'm in a very happy bubble right now and extremely grateful to people who support me doing something I love!
Last weekend was spent at cooking up a feast for Mora & Mike's lovely retreat goers ✨️ - breakfast, lunch & dinner for 16 hungry bellies in a stunning, newly renovated space in Kingussie! Had a ball 🥳
Straight back to Mull to finalise menus & open the restaurant at for a busy Easter weekend. Lots of the good kinda nerves (a little imposter syndrome) but we survived our first week of service! Chaos and teething issues along the way, of course 👀 but we're looking forward to a busy new venture on the Isle of Mull. If you're visiting the island, please shout 🥰

I'm extremely excited to be hosting 4 days of food & drink indulgence! From one home cook to another, a retreat focused on all the things I LOVE 🥰... We'll be learning about, cooking with & tucking in to, some of the best produce Scotland has to offer - all washed down with some mighty fine wine & a dram or two 🥃!
Culinary masterclasses, local farm tour, forage walk, cooking workshops, tastings and of course, LOTS of EATING & DRINKING!

Last night we had friends over for dinner & I cooked an Asian themed roast with Gochujang beef brisket stealing the show. It was lush with lots leftover for today 😍
Tonight we feasted on bao filled with a roasted garlic sesame slaw & gochujang beef brisket which was even better after a night of marinating in all its juices 🤤
A tweaked recipe - 'Slow-cooker gochujang short ribs'...
I used beef brisket and swapped out the rice vinegar and star anise for a rich fruity cider and mixed spice! It's a winner!

Last weekend, I catered for a lovely group of ladies gathering for a retreat at 💫
My heart is always so full after a weekend retreat 🥰! Not only did I fuel these women with nutritiously tasty food, but I was welcomed into their circle and joined their evening plans feeling part of the retreat itself 🤍
It was an absolute pleasure cooking up a full GF vegan menu 🌱✨️
- Harissa roasted cauliflower, buckwheat salad, romesco & labneheqrs5 34 jj bbb w/passionfruit & toasted nuts
- PB&J silken tofu mousse
- Roasted sweet potatoes, chimichurri kale & black bean salad, tomato salsa & guacamole
- Tikka tofu skewers, coconut lentil dah, kidney bean curry, raita & naan
- Coconut cardamon baked rice pudding w/ pistacios
- Wild mushroom, kale & brown rice soup w/ walnut pesto & crispy onions
I haven't been cooking anything exciting recently as I've been spending a majority of my time with this wee fluffball 🐶💕
I've been checking out dog friendly pubs around the city (thanks for all your reccos) & wee Pinot is definitely loving all the extra cuddles & treats! Will 100% be back to all the places we've been so far!
📍 - the home of the biggest nachos in the city - Pinot's first pub visit and she fell asleep within 20 mins 😂
📍 - our local, Pinot met fellow furry locals and got lots of snuggles!
📍 - hidden in the corner, Pinot was very comfortably sprawled out as we had our catch up pints!
📍 - Sunday roasting!! Super cute & cosy pub in Portobello with very decent pub grub. Pinot had her first taste of Guinness 👀 Will definitely be back!

Back to the stunning
estate for a weekend in one of my favourite kitchens 🥰! Days spent cooking up vibrant, flavoursome but more importantly, nourishing sharing tables 🌈 (with a wee furry friend for company at the window 🥜). To have people leave feeling satisfied, nourished & inspired makes me question why I ever doubted myself to become a full time chef! I love what I do!
Another dreamy retreat in the bag with a soul sista 👯🏽♀️✨️... The space this one creates can't be summed up in words. I even found the time to take part in some Yoga Nidra 🧘🏽♀️! I'm so grateful to team up with Katie to make people feel all the scrumptious goodness from the inside out 💕

I wanted to reach out with an update as September is the start of a busy private catering season for paulipocketeats 👩🏽🍳🤩. Unfortunately, this has an impact on meal prep as I can't be in two places at once 🫣!

Please find below a timeline for the next 10 weeks (check me being all organised). There's some weeks where deliveries will be Monday and a break in between where meal prep will be on pause.
Apologies in advance for any inconvenience caused. I don't like leaving my regulars in the lurch but remember, some meals can be frozen 😉 (I'll be sure to note this online) if you wish to prepare in advance!
