Dear friends in and around *Edinburgh* - finally, after more than 4 years, we're able to offer in-person classes again in the capital - really close to our old yoga centre in Montgomery Street.
We're starting on 3rd of July with 2 classes on Wednesday evenings and we'll see how it goes from there.

While it's still early in the new year, we're doing a 30-day fundraising challenge called: *CHALLENGE 108!* π₯°πΏπΏπ₯πβ¨ And it's a great one for teachers, parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles and friends of kids of all ages!

π’Cooking inspiration from Yoga in Daily Life
πMung Bean Pakoraπ
Mung bean pakoras are delicious and an easy way to get your daily dose of protein. They are gluten-free and full of flavour. Pakoras are perfect as a snack or side dish and can be served with a variety of dipping sauces.
To prepare pakoras, you will need 1 cup of skinned mung beans, a handful of parsley or green coriander leaves, 5 tablespoons of oil for frying and spices for seasoning: turmeric, ground coriander and cumin, chilli powder, paprika, asafoetida.
Soak the mung beans in plenty of water for a few hours. Wash and drain. Transfer to a bowl and add a teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon of ground coriander, a teaspoon of ground cumin, a teaspoon of turmeric, a teaspoon of paprika, a pinch of asafoetida and half a teaspoon of chilli. Mix everything well. Chop coarsely with a hand blender. If the mixture is finely blended, it will be easier to form the fritters, but they will be less crunchy. Add chopped parsley or coriander to the mixture.
Take one heaping tablespoon of the mixture and form a small fritter. Place 10 fritters on baking paper. Cover the surface of the frying pan with oil and heat it. Carefully transfer them into the pan and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Happy Valentine's Day from sweet Bibi π our February furry friend. So our wee group of Yoga in Daily Life Scotland friends made it to the top of Ben A'an for Clara & Alfie's 'Paws on the mountain' fundraising walk today. The rain held off and the clouds cleared as we reached the summit. It was a wonderful day of new friends spending joyful time together in the great outdoors, with happy dogs! Thank you Clara, Alfie and Pauline for organising such a lovely event and supporting our wee Scottish charity - and thank you also to all the wonderful friends who have donated so far! ππ₯°πΊπΊππβ¨

One of our dear Scottish yoga students, Pauline, is organising a fundraising hill walk up the wee mountain *Ben A'an* in the beautiful Trossachs National Park, on Sunday 23 October. She has very kindly set up a GoFundMe page to direct all funds raised to our wee charity Yoga in Daily Life Scotland because she feels so grateful for the yoga and meditation practices that, in just one year, have helped her overcome many years without a voice, struggling with the condition known as Laryngeal Dystonia.
