Back in 2022, we took part in the charity volleyball tournament down in Portobello organised by to raise money for LBGT Youth Scotland 🏳️‍🌈

We made up these colourful tees for our team to wear and have decided to bring them back so you can get your hands on one too! From every t-shirt purchased, we'll be giving 25% to to continue supporting young people in Scotland who identify as LGBTQ+. The charity supports young people in all aspects of their lives through the provision of amazing youth work, supporting them to use their voice to create change in equality and human rights.

No hump day round here! Every Wednesday we're fighting those midweek blues with wings and a half pint for £10, all day long. The only question is, are you having them saucy or with our dry rub?

Usually on Tuesdays we're all about the tacos (and don't get us wrong, they're still 2 for £12!) but we think it's time we shout about our Smoked Baby Back Ribs...

Using three of our favourite sauces, our tender ribs are covered in guajillo sauce, lime & coriander cashew crema and salsa roja, served with a side of creamy corn elote. There's plenty to share, but we don't think you'll want to!

Our Nopales y Rajas Poblanos taco is filled with grilled prickly pear cactus (don’t worry, we’ve removed the prickles!), black bean ragu, corn, and finished off with our classic pico de gallo, salsa roja and a smoky chipotle crema.

We’re not picking favourites, but we’re loving this addition to the new menu 🌵

We’ve dug through the archives and revived an old El Cartel fave with a new and improved recipe - welcome back the Cochinita Pibil taco, but not quite as you know it! Think juicy and tender confit pork, topped with salsa roja, pickled red onions, coriander and a pork belly crumb, all packed into 2 homemade corn tortillas 🌮🌮

In quesa you hadn’t decided on lunch yet, you’ve come to the right place! Today’s Cinco de Mayo dish is our Quesadilla Berenjena, filled with a smooth and smoky aubergine purée, courgette, spicy bird’s eye chilli and mozzarella, then covered in salsa verde, pico de gallo and creamy cashew crema. It won’t be £5 for long, so if it sounds like your thing, make sure you come in!
