Amazing weekend getting our faces out there talking about our amazing cause. Great conversations and great support from the kind hearts of the general public.
We managed to raise £564.12 over the course of two days bucket collecting. We will be bucket collecting once a month for the next few months so catch us if you can. We would love to collect in the Epsom markets on the weekend if anyone has any ideas how we could do that?!?
Just want to say a massive thank you to for letting us collect outside your store. As always, please keep sharing our page and donating if you can (LINK IN BIO) your support doesn’t go unnoticed. 10 weeks til our first challenge!!!!!!

Day 3-

The day we are both completely and utterly dreading… Though it isn’t the longest distance of cycling, it is the longest distance from one racecourse to another. If you have ever been to Goodwood then you will be aware of the peaks and troughs in store for the initial part of this day’s cycling.
On this journey, we will be passing through 3 different county’s. Starting in West Sussex, passing through Hampshire and ending in Berkshire. Newbury is on our list of race days we’d love to go to- probably not in the fashion that we are visiting it though…
Stay tuned for tomorrow as we show Day 4.

We forgot to mention that Kevin Geraghty will be joining us along our way! And yes we will be getting embarassed by 50+ year old and we arent't proud of that fact! I've already got my excuses planned as I havent sat on a bike for a good few years! Probably because i was always behind my little brother, which did wind me up the wrong way :D

Day 2:

We move on from Brighton to Fontwell, one of the more famous small racecourses in the South East of England, on a 31.4 mile cycle. The Queen Mother (Queen Elizabeth the 1st) had her first ever winner here back in 1949.
Moving on from here, we finish for the day at Goodwood. One of our favourite days out- how could you not love glorious Goodwood? It really does feel like “a garden party with racing tacked on” as dubbed by King Edward VII- who attended every year.
Stay tuned for tomorrow as we show Day 3.

Thank you so much for your donations and support so far everyone been amazing and greater than we ever expected hopefully only just the beginning!

Please help us get this out to people, liking and sharing helps so much, thank you guys!

Day 1:
We start our journey where we will be finishing. Epsom downs- the home of flat racing. The home of racing that many of us hold closely. Just on the doorstep of where we grew up is probably the most notorious turn in all of horse racing- Tattenham corner.
Moving on with a 34.2 mile cycle to Plumpton, a hilly location that’ll really test us on our bikes- something we’ll have to get used to.
We then move on to Brighton, a place we know very well, where we went to University. We will hopefully be staying at a friend’s house where we will be ice bathing and getting probably one of the best night’s kip we’ve had in a long time in preparation for the next day.
Stay tuned for tomorrow as we show Day 2…

Though this is hard for me to write, we must remember why we’re doing this:

My beloved cousin, Tommy, took his own life at the age of 25.

Tommy loved his racehorses, he worked in a number of Epsom racing yards, finding a home at Simon Dow’s. Those who know me know that I’m mad for horses and I have Tommy to blame/thank for that😂. This is why our main challenge will be cycling around South England’s best racecourses, in memory of Tommy’s and our family’s love of racing.

Tommy did lots outside of racing, always doing something new, whether it was golf, tree surgery, landscaping or football, he always felt at home with horses. His enthusiasm for it was infectious, like many other parts of him. Tommy was buzzing with energy 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. He never failed to make someone smile with a dance, song, joke or all of the above- Tommy never stopped😂. When I used to help him labouring, he would be screaming songs out the window of the car at 6 in the morning to the surprise of everyone but me.

Tommy was larger than life itself. However, no matter how much he showed this outwardly, inside- he was in pain. And that is why I’m writing this post and ultimately doing this fundraiser. No matter how someone may seem, we never really know what they’re going through. We urge everyone to check up on their mates, to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes and mostly, if you are going through a tough time- don’t suffer in silence.
