Overthinking often kicks in when we feel uncertain, want things to be perfect, or fear making mistakes. Here’s how it can take over -
🔸 Uncertainty triggers the brain to try to predict or control every possible outcome, keeping us stuck in ‘what if’ scenarios.
🔸 Perfectionism makes us overly critical, pushing us to overthink every detail so we don’t fall short of our high standards.
🔸 Fear of failure leads us to replay situations in our minds, hoping to avoid any mistakes.
The brain is trying to protect us, but instead, it keeps us in a loop of worry. Letting go of needing to control everything or be perfect gives the mind the rest it needs.
What’s one thought you can let go of today?

Did you know that the thoughts we think daily can impact not only our mood but also our body? 💭
Studies in neuroscience show that each thought we have releases chemicals in the brain. 🧠
When we’re stuck in anxious or negative thinking patterns, our brain releases stress chemicals like cortisol, which can make anxiety feel even more intense.
But here’s the good news: the mind-body connection works both ways. When we consciously shift our thoughts toward positive, calming ones, our brain releases “feel-good” chemicals like dopamine and serotonin. ✨
These help reduce stress and support a sense of ease. Simple mindset shifts, like noticing and challenging negative thoughts, can make a big difference in how we feel. Think of it as training your mind to support a calmer, more balanced state.
Try this: whenever an anxious thought pops up, take a deep breath and simply ask, “Is there another way to look at this?” Small steps like this can retrain the brain toward resilience and calm.

Anxiety can make it feel like you always have to put on a brave face, even when you’re struggling on the inside.
It’s exhausting trying to seem ‘fine’ when you’re anything but.
If this resonates with you, know that it’s okay to admit when things are tough. You don’t have to carry it all alone.

Woo hoo! 🥳 It’s been 3 years since I took the leap and left my 9-5 after 15 years in social work to follow my passion and focus on my hypnotherapy business 🥰
I was super scared when I made the decision. All the “what ifs” swirled around in my head…
👉🏼What if I don’t get enough clients?
👉🏼What if I have no idea how to do my taxes?
👉🏼What is if I fail and have to find another job?
👉🏼What if I’m terrible at social media/ marketing (I didn’t even have social media until I started my business!) 😬
I felt so anxious for months, but I knew I couldn’t let those negative thoughts hold me back.
Our beliefs shape so much of our reality- just like Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.” And when we’re stuck in negative beliefs, especially about ourselves, it can really hold us back.
A lot of those beliefs come from our subconscious mind, quietly influencing our decisions, behaviours, and even our confidence. That’s where ✨hypnotherapy✨ has been so powerful, not just for me, but for my clients too.
It helps let go of limiting beliefs, so you can reframe them and move forward with more clarity and confidence.
Fast forward to today, and I’ve built a full-time practice specialising in helping people overcome anxiety.
I’ve been voted Best Rated Hypnotherapist in Exeter for 4 years running and even won Hypnotherapist of the Year for the South West for the last 3 years! 🏆✨
If you’re feeling scared about making a big change, know that it’s normal to feel nervous… but that doesn’t mean you can’t succeed. Sometimes you’ve just got to take that leap, trust yourself, and know that you’ll figure it out along the way 💪💖
Hypnotherapy can help you shift those doubts, break free from old patterns, and step into the life you truly want. If I can do it, so can you. 💫
With love,
Karina 🤎

You don’t have to just manage anxiety- you can move forward with it.
Which one resonates with you today- coping or healing?

Do you feel like you’re always keeping busy, even when you’re running on empty?
How can you prioritise rest this week?

Anxiety can feel hard to overcome, but sometimes we’re unknowingly stuck in habits that keep it going.
Have you noticed how easy it is to stay in old habits and patterns, even when they’re not helping?
What if you gave yourself a break instead of being so hard on yourself? Or took a small step to face something you’ve been avoiding? Little changes like these can help calm anxiety and give you a sense of control.
Where do you feel stuck? Is there one small thing you could try today to help ease your mind?
With love,
Karina 🤎
Give yourself a break from overthinking. Today, just notice your thoughts without trying to fix or judge them.
It’s a simple way to create more space in your mind and ease the pressure of anxiety.
How does it feel when you just let thoughts be?
With love,
Karina 🤎
Anxiety often sends us uninvited messages, reminding us of everything that could go wrong 😬
This is a way our mind tries to protect us (it thinks we will be better prepared or avoid the situation!), but it can feel overwhelming and isolating.
Instead of letting these thoughts take control, here are some ways to manage them:
🪴Acknowledge the Thought: Recognise that it’s just a thought, not a fact.
🪴Practice Mindfulness: Take a moment to breathe deeply and ground yourself in the present.
🪴Reframe Your Thinking: Ask yourself-
✨What evidence do I have that this thought is true?
✨How would I advise a friend feeling this way?
✨What’s one small step I can take today to feel more in control?
Remember, anxiety doesn’t mean something bad will happen. it’s just your mind trying to protect you. Acknowledge it, but don’t let it control your day.
With love,
Karina 🤎
Anxiety can make even the things we used to do without thinking feel like a massive struggle.
If you’re finding it tough to get through things that used to be easy, it’s not because you’re failing or lazy, it’s because anxiety drains our energy, makes it harder to focus, and leaves us feeling mentally and physically wiped out.
It’s like your mind is always running in the background, making everything feel heavier.
Be kind to yourself.
You’re doing your best.
With love,
Karina 🤎
🧠 Today is World Mental Health Day 🧠
Did you know that chronic stress affects more than 70% of adults in the UK?
Stress can lead to various mental health challenges, including anxiety. In fact, 1 in 6 people experience anxiety disorders at some point in their lives.
** Stats **
🧠74% of adults have felt so stressed they felt overwhelmed or unable to cope.
🧠62% say work is a significant source of stress in their lives.
Our society often pushes us to stay busy and be productive, making it easy to feel like we’re never doing enough. This constant hustle can leave us feeling drained and anxious, making it tough to take care of our mental health.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, here are some questions to ponder on…
💫What small steps can you take today to prioritise your well being?
💫When was the last time you took a break, and how did it make you feel?
💫What activities help you relax and recharge?
💫How can you create a better work / life balance?
💫 What support do you need to manage your stress more effectively?
💫 What negative thoughts can you challenge to reduce your anxiety?
With love,
Karina 🤎
Anxiety can show up when we’re tired, juggling too much, or feeling like we’re not good enough.
It’s a reminder that we need a break🫶🏼
Next time you feel it, pause, take a deep breath, and remind yourself: ✨I’m doing my best ✨
Little things like more sleep, fewer tasks, and being kind to yourself can help.
With love,
Karina 🤎
