Congratulations to all!
HUGE Congratulations to our Sixth Form dance students, at The Wyvern School for being the first cohort to achieve Bronze Arts Award. These photos are from our sharing event where work experience student Shane, delivered a presentation which included a phrase from his rehearsals with ConfiCo and leading a warm up. After which we handed out certificates to the students for their achievements.
βWe are delighted to have supported this journey by; providing high quality accessible representative dance performance, facilitating the student Skills sharing component with our choreography choosing boards, and by ConfiCo artists being representative, aspirational dance artists for students to research. Big up to Jess Hyder and her team, and the students who developed a rich inclusive reflective practice to wrap around the confidance sessions, and review our work. Partnership at its bestβ - Jo Frater, Artistic Director of Confidance

About Moving Memory
We provide participation and performance opportunities that celebrate the vitality of participants, consider the funny side of things and drawing out the stuff of life. We use movement, music, spoken word and digital projection as ways of revealing and presenting peoplesβ stories.
Moving Memory Dance Theatre Company was established in 2011 by Sian Stevenson and Jayne Thompson. The core company of six older women performers have been working together for over six years and have created participatory activity in community and care settings and a number of performance pieces. Past shows are the short, pop-up "Cracking the Crinoline" and the full length show,'Beyond the Marigolds' (for which we were delighted to win the Kent Creative Award 2017 for Performing Arts). In summer 2019, we are touring Tipping the Balance and creating Love Grows, a new piece for Canterbury's b0ing! festival.
We are deeply indebted to photographer Matt Wilson (mattwilson.xyz) who has consistently caught our work with empathy and imagination. Most of the photos on our site are his.
