Hello I'm Emma Evans FHP based in Halesowen. The clinic has been running since 2009 and I have been qualified since 2006. Hours depend on day.
The clinic is open every Monday, Thursday and every other Wednesday. Home visits locally are available.
As of 1st April foot clinic appointments will now be £30. I haven’t put my prices up in 8 years as kept it as fair as possible. Hope you all understand.

To continue from my post last week - these are three wonderful ladies who I coached through their training to complete their first 100km Ultra races.
100km is a lot of miles! Training needs to be done with progression and patience. There is a lot of trial and error, and many moments of self-doubt. There is the battle between the mindset and the shifting focus on pace of your training runs.
There are constant questions on how to fuel, and for just how long to go on your long run for! The juggle and balance of fitting your training into your, already busy, life. The need for clothing advice and tips about how to prepare, as well as understanding how many miles you need to fit into that week.
The thought process can be baffling - which is where I come in!
As with the training plans I personalise for other distances, when the planning and support is there for you - it is one less thing for you to think about.

So I’ve not posted in a while!… mainly from being busy and not needing to post random stuff for the sake of it!
Now for the busy bit…. Great I hear you say. But it came as a reminder that the more work/pressure I put on myself the more I needed to practice self care! Almost like a sliding scale, more stress, more rest. I’ve pushed my body and brain quite a bit the past month or so doing more than one job. Whilst it’s been amazing and I love it, I slipped off the self care waggon slightly 😬
Late nights, rubbish sleep, physically exhausting days, lack of social interaction, missing my massage appts, zero walks in nature! and just generally not carving out me time to switch off. So when you do this for a sustained amount of time …. Your body will have a word!
So after being poorly with the flu and feeling totally drained, I know that it’s not a great place to be in or to stay in! We are not meant to be doing this!! It doesn’t feel good either 😥
This brings me want to talk about ‘Burnout’ whilst I’m not experiencing it, I’ve had a small taste! And I also know plenty of you who are on this road.
‘Burnout is a state of physical and emotional exhaustion’
I want you to listen to your body and carve some time to switch off and relax. You need to re charge! This could be a weekend away, spa day, massage and lunch with a friend, having a cut off for social media consumption or a walk taking in beautiful surroundings! Or even better ALL of the above …. Regularly 🥰
It’s so important to care for ourselves both physically and mentally, and to do things you enjoy. And when you’ve pushed your body too much, treat her, she needs and deserves it 💕
Following my body telling me to put the brakes on, I’ve managed a wonderful spa weekend, lunch with friends, a walk in the sunshine, put a few boundaries in place, and spent more time resting. I’ve also re booked my missed appts that I soooo need.
If you ask your body today what does she need?…… what does she say? 🥰
