A couple of weeks ago I was asked by Luke and Jen and Andrea at if I would like to go to Germany and drink some of the wines we have in the shop! ✈️

I’m so grateful for the opportunity of this and I had the most wonderful experience and tried some amazing wines from amazing winery’s, where we would have a chance to talk to the owners and listen to their stories and experiences! I was travelling with wonderful people from the wine industry all over the UK and in different sectors who also created a lovely atmosphere whilst travelling from place to place! 🍇

Some of these wines are already in the shop and potentially some more may be coming in soon! 🤞And my knowledge on German wines are definitely in tip top tier after the last week! If you have any questions about our German selection I would love to help you! If I’m not in though Luke also did this trip 2 years ago, and he would be happy to help you as well!

🥂NEW LOCAL ENGLISH SPARKLING 🥂

We had the honour of being invited to the highly anticipated English Sparkling Wine launch from yesterday, where we were among the first to taste their 3 English Sparkling Wines - a Blanc de Blancs, a Brut Reserve and a Rosé with a South African twist! All fabulous quality and each with a memorable individuality. We are looking forward to seeing these wines in our shop!

A big congratulations to Penny, Adam and the entire Leonardslee team whose hard work and dedication crafted these wines!

Also a massive thank you to the team who created an inspired lunch that paired so beautifully with the wines! 🥂

It’s rosé week in the UK, and we recently brought in some new rosés for you to try!

Please don’t panic! They’re all dry!

The Joel Gott rosé (left) from Central Coast California is crisp, lean and mineral driven
The Coste della Sesia (middle) from Piedmont in Italy, is made from the Nebbiolo grape variety that provides a sour red berry flavour, with a fresh acidity
And the dark looking Terlan Lagrein rose (right) is a deep and vibrant pink rose from Northern Italy, which is bone dry and has a rich red berry flavour!

They will all be hopefully making an appearance in our tasting machine over the summer to try! And we hope to change your minds about bright pink rosés 🩷

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿New English White Wines!

Albourne Estate wines have always been much loved by our customers, so we decided to bring in some of their other wines!

The Bacchus that has tropical notes of passion fruit and pineapple, with a crisp accidity perfect for drinking in sunny weather ☀️

To the White Pinot Noir, made from red grapes with the juice being fermented without any contact with the skins, to produce a fuller creamier style of wine with white pepper notes, and green apples 🍏

With this weather we can’t help but want a Provence rosé! Perfect to pair with food or great for sitting in the garden with a glass! 🩷

17th of March is associated with all things Irish, and we are excited to announce the Redbreast 12 year old single pot distilled whiskey to our range!
Alternatively we have kept the Green spot as well which has become a regular favourite with our customers!

🇲🇽Tequila Time🇲🇽

Whilst we love our wine we thought we’d show our spirits some love and give them a little refresh and growth! We recently got in 3 new tequilas and 1 mezcal to our range!

These tequilas are perfect to sip, having 2 blanco styles and an añejo, as well as an interesting mezcal with herbaceous smoke with some fruit tang!

🍾 Let’s pop some bubbles!

We recently brought in a range of Sake’s from *taisake and have since been asked lots of questions about them! Our Junmai Sparkling Sake is a perfect place to start, as Junmai styles showcase the key flavour characteristics of Sake, and the bubbles are perfect for a celebration!

There is plenty to learn about Sake but if you have any further questions please let us know, or talk to Charlotte who is currently doing her Sake qualifications! 🍶

✨SPARKLING HONEY WINE✨

have added a new honey wine to their collection that we are delighted to add to our range. This honey wine has a rich sweet characteristic of fresh honey and subtle apricot notes, and was made in the traditional method sparkling way! It would be perfect for a hot sunny day or for sparkling wine lovers who want to try something new! 🍯🐝

Chateau Larmande Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé is one of the oldest Chateaux in the Bordeaux region. Founded in 1585, this wine embodies the classic Bordeaux style blend from the Right Bank, dominated by Merlot with a balance of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The wine is full and rich, with dark red fruit, vanilla, cedar and spices and would pair well with full flavoured foods, particularly roast beef!

This delightful pair of wines from Barcelona, Spain is on special offer for Valentine’s Day! ❤️
The white is made from the Parellada grape variety and is soft and fruity!

What is Franciacorta?
Franciacorta is a sparkling wine made using the traditional Champagne method. It is made in the Franciacorta appellation in Italy. It differs from Prosecco, which is not made using the Champagne method, by being richer in flavour - a great alternative for Champagne drinkers!
This Franciacorta is a rosé, made from Pinot Noir and has subtle notes of red berries and wild fruit.

We have put together a small range of Sakes that we feel showcase what Sake is, and what we feel you’ll most enjoy.
A more savoury style of Honjozo that can be served both warmed or chilled,
A delicate Daiginjo with hints of green apple, pear and blossom,
An interesting Junmai Ginjo sparkling, as an alternative to sparkling wines, which has notes of banana,
And two sake liqueurs, one of zesty Yuzu which is refreshing, and one of Plum which is rich and fruity
