Support Worker - Inverness - Indeed.com Mayfield Lodge Residential Home

We are looking to recruit 2 full time support workers.

Both positions are for 36 hours per week.
1 position is for nightshifts (3 12hr shifts per week from 8pm-8am)
The other position is for day and nightshifts (3 weeks of day shift followed by 1 week of nightshifts on a rotational basis).

We provide 24-hour person centred support to 12 adults with learning disabilities.

Main responsibilities include: assisting with personal care, record keeping, administration of medication, cooking, laundry, assisting with in house and out of house activities, assisting service users to attend appointments.

SVQ 2 Health and Social care preferred but not essential.

Applicants will be given full training in infection prevention and control, adult support and protection, conflict management, epilepsy awareness and administration of rescue medication, medication administration, food safety level 2.

Successful applicants will have a 2 week induction period, which is mainly day shifts, this is to give you time to get to know our service and our client group and to complete necessary training.

PVG checks are mandatory for successful applicants.

Successful applicants are required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of their start date.

Main responsibilities include: assisting with personal care, assisting service users to participate in activities (both in house and out of house), record keeping, administration of medication, cooking, laundry, assisting service users to attend appointments, supporting service users to live a happy, fulfilling life.

Shifts will include day shifts, night shifts and weekends.

SVQ 2 Health and Social care preferred but not essential.

Applicants will be given full training in COVID-19 and infection control, conflict management, epilepsy awareness, medication administration, food safety level 2.

PVG checks are mandatory for successful applicants.

Applicants are required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of their start date. The Scottish Government are finding new registrations until 30th June 2022.
