🎧 NEW soundwalk 'Earth & Sky' for the wild moors of Brontë country, as part of Bradford 2025 — announced today!

We've invited composers Caterina Barbieri, Gwen Siôn and Nyokabi Kariũki - Composer and field recordist Sarah Keirle to create new music and sound works inspired by this landscape. This will be woven together with music by Bradford-born Frederick Delius, performed by the Orchestra of Opera North.

Using state-of-the-art geolocation technology, what you hear through your headphones will be triggered by every step you take!

Earth & Sky is in Pen*stone Hill Country Park in Haworth, from May to October 2025.

📢 Calling for young singers! Are you age 16-21 and based in the North of England? Looking to study at a conservatoire or university?

Our Young Performers Studio is a new year-long programme that aims to nurture and guide ten talented young singers. It is open to those facing barriers accessing musical training, and supports those from backgrounds that are under-represented in the professional classical music world.

Best news to end the week 😁 From Couch to Chorus, our award-winning online singing sessions, are BACK!

For everyone from complete beginners to experienced choir-goers. Don’t read music or know your voice type? Don’t worry. You’ll be provided with everything you need.

Sessions 5–26 November will finish with a finale event where you'll sing along live with the Chorus of Opera North.

This project began in November 2020 and since then over 4,000 people from all over the world have taken part!
