I'd just like to say a huge thank you for all your birthday wishes today, it really is very much appreciated!

Huge congratulations to Euan on passing his Classical Guitar grade 2 with ABRSM Royal Schools of Music. Euan has really enjoyed learning these challenging instrumentals and is developing into an accomplished player.

We're now taking a few weeks out to learn some of his favourite songs before embarking on grade 3!

🔥 SPECIAL STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT 🔥

Well we couldn't be more proud of this young man Kylan Dodd. He's just been awarded a DISTINCTION for his Rockschool electric guitar grade 3 exam with a massive 91% of the marks and to say he is over the moon would be a huge understatement!

The key to his success we feel as well as being a very talented player is his huge passion for music which he carries with him all the time. He's greatly influenced by The Beatles and Chuck Berry and his ambition in life he says is to make the guitar great again!

What a fabulous ambition to have Kylan and a huge congratulations from all of us here at Twang!

🤟 Resurrection 🤟

Here's my 1977 American Fender Stratocaster which I purchased back in 1986. I'd always dreamed of owning an original Fender and so scrimped and scraped to save up the £400 to buy it.

It travelled with me on all the Muldoon tours, chucked in the back of our van and thrown around countless stages across the globe, it was my work horse and my word did it work hard.

It became unplayable a few years back seriously needing a re-fret but the very talented Mr. Wayne Wallis came to its rescue and duly delivered it back to me Tuesday.

I honestly cannot describe how beautiful it sounds and I can hardly put it down, so, watch this space to hear it in action once again very soon!

Today we're remembering the life and music of the genius Mr. Freddie Mercury who would have been 77 today!

Last Wednesday I ventured down to London to view the exhibition at Sotheby's and my mind was completely blown away. The experience of seeing everything Freddie owned in such a wonderful setting was something I am privileged to have witnessed and is something that will never be experienced again.

Huge credit to Mary Austin and Sotheby's for producing such a fantastic exhibition and celebration of Freddie's life.

King Mercury, long may she reign!

Introducing The Division! Mitch’s pupil Liam (middle) has been coming since 2015! We’re super buzzing to see how Liam has progressed over the years and to finally form his own band is wonderful to see!

The Division are featuring on BBC Radio Leeds this morning at around 11am so be sure to tune in! They’re answering a few questions and having their first release aired!!

Well, first band practice went well for these young dudes! I think they enjoyed themselves....

Just want to say a huge congratulations to Mitchel and the boys on securing their debut album deal with the fantastic TGM Records . They are currently in the studio as I’m writing this and we can’t wait to hear the final product!

We are extremely excited to announce that we are recording our first full length debut album!

We've been writing and performing together for over 10 years, under different forms, names and styles. The Wholehearted embraces our roots as songwriters and we feel this is the perfect time to capture our songs in their purest form.

We are also very lucky and grateful to be working with our close friends Paul Jewison and Ashleigh Hudson at This Green Moon who are helping us put this together and release it on the label TGM Records! Paul is pretty much the 4th member and the woods have given us endless inspiration.
