Today we celebrated the life of Kathy with her beloved family. It was an emotional day for all of us, and we were overwhelmed by the beautiful gift that was left in her remembrance, which has been placed in Kathys' favorite sunny spot for all the residents to enjoy.

Our winner of Employee of the Month at Westside Care Home for July is Christina.
Christina is our Home Administrator who has worked with us for two and a half years now and is an integral part of our team. She is always very welcoming to our visitors and very helpful with the residents, relatives and our staff team too. Christina received 5 nominations which shows how much she is valued here.

At Hill House, we go above and beyond to make each resident feel truly special on their birthday. Our talented chefs bakes a homemade cake that is not only delicious but also made with love. As the big day arrives, our dedicated staff comes together to serenade each birthday star with a heartfelt rendition of the classic Happy Birthday song, filling the air with joy and celebration. Every resident is cherished and celebrated on their special day, creating unforgettable memories for all.

Join us for a delightful library book swap on Thursday, July 11th at 2:30 pm in the garden (weather permitting). We have a wonderful selection of fiction books by renowned authors available for exchange with informative books covering a range of subjects, featuring larger images.

Today, with the temperature at a pleasant 26 degrees Celsius and the sun shining brightly, it is evident that summer has arrived. We are delighted to be able to bask in the beautiful weather of the season, surrounded by the lush greenery of the garden. Sipping on a cup of tea and indulging in scrumptious scones topped with fresh strawberries. The warm sun gently kisses our cheeks, while the delightful aroma of the freshly baked scones fills the air, bringing us pure joy and contentment.

At Hill House Nursing Home, we celebrating the 80th anniversary of D-Day in a memorable way. Our residents gathered in the lounge to watch a special D-Day program on the TV, immersing themselves in the historic significance of the day. The room was beautifully decorated with a Union Jack theme, creating a patriotic atmosphere for all to enjoy. For lunch, we indulged in a delicious spread of treats, and at 3 pm, we gathered for a delightful tea time. The highlight of the day was the homemade D-Day cake, along with scrumptious cupcakes and freshly baked scones, adding a sweet touch to our commemoration.

We are thrilled to announce that Hill House Community Day was a success, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended. The event was filled with vibrant and colorful craft stalls, a mesmerizing magician showcasing incredible magic tricks, delicious pizza, and ice cream for all to enjoy, face painting, and fun other activities. It was a day filled with laughter, joy, and we couldn't have asked for a better turnout. Thank you once again for making Hill House Community Day such a memorable and wonderful event!
