✅ Give our grid a bit of a breather from when electricity is most in demand.
✅ Take the first steps to narrowing the difference in costs between public and home charging.
✅ Maximise the use of green energy as the UK aims to hit climate goals.
We're pleased as punch to have Shropshire on board as we assemble a superstar team of net zero heroes for the switch to EV. Watch this space for further star signings in the weeks ahead! 👇

Well done Chris 👏
Connected Kerb CEO appointed new Chair of ChargeUK. Chris will lead the voice of the UK's EV charging industry.
💥 Our Annual Report for 2023 has landed! It’s our story of the year, and what a story. It was a year full of challenge as it was for the whole EV industry. We’re very honest about that. But we still achieved a lot of which we are extremely proud.
What’s in it? See how our network has grown and where, what we’ve won and why and how we are making sure nobody gets left behind in the switch to EV. 🔌
Don’t worry, its not a 200-page thesis – only 12 in fact. We hope it gives you a flavour of how we are connecting people to places, councils to their communities and businesses to a brighter future. If you want to join us in that effort please get in touch at https://hubs.li/Q02lcllr0.

The old saying goes ‘i’ before ‘e’... no, we’re not about to give you a pre-weekend grammar lesson. We’re talking about infrastructure before expansion. Charging infrastructure. It’s now a legal pre-requisite for residential developers to install a minimum level of EV charging provision in new build homes which means choosing the right infrastructure supplier is a big deal.
We’re working with some pretty big hitters in the homebuilding market. For example you can read about our partnership with Barratt Homes at https://hubs.li/Q02kRpV40.
But what exactly should developers look for when choosing their perfect charging partner? Check out this piece in Showhouse Magazine. If you like what you hear then please get in touch at https://hubs.li/Q02lcllr0. 👇
What to consider when choosing an electric vehicle charging partner - Show House Connected Kerb shares its insight on how the right electric vehicle charging partner can be a big benefit to both developers and housebuyers.
Speed dating, fast charging. Finding love and charging an EV can be similar experiences. You can spend a lot of time on apps, it can happen at different speeds, and you need to find the right connection.
You want to find the right type – the person you could take home to your granny - although we think you can do much better than use her charger. In EV charging of course, you also need to find the right connector types.
Our Chameleons and Geckos use type 2. Reliable and dependable, never letting you down. But if you like a flirt with a Chademo, if only for the exotic name, there’s something out there for everyone.
We can’t promise you’ll bump into your perfect partner next time you charge up, but this guide will be your ideal companion to explaining the different EV connector types – giving you a harmonious relationship with your EV and keeping you connected for good.
Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️

In addition to imparting her knowledge at industry events and in the media, Victoria is also Vice Chair of ChargeUK, the ‘voice’ of the EV charging industry."
Well done Vicky!
ICE-ing – that’s parking a petrol or diesel vehicle in an electric vehicle bay – is not cool. 🔌
It’s a bit like the breakfast buffet where THAT person piles their plate with food 🍖 leaving little for everyone else (and worse still doesn’t finish it). There’s nothing to stop you doing it, but it’s not a good look is it?

☃️ It’s the time of year when the brrrr is really in British weather. Of course it’s nothing compared to the South Pole where Chris and Julie Ramsey recently completed their magnificent 30,000km journey in an electric vehicle. What an achievement!
But their exploits – and the fact it’s pretty nippy out there right now – got us thinking about how you can make the most of your electric vehicle in Baltic conditions. So before another Beast from the East strikes, fill your mug with a hot beverage, cosy up by the fire and pore over our guide to EV driving in the winter. ⬇️

We’re pretty open and honest about the fact that the cost of charging has risen in the past 18 months. But so has the cost of everything else from food to energy bills – and of course, petrol. Everyone is feeling the squeeze.
We think you can still keep the spark alive when swapping your gas guzzler for an EV without burning a hole in your wallet. Jump into our guide on the costs of charging up, and make switching to electric the new year’s resolution that could save you some serious cash. 👇

👋 Think faster EV charging is always better? That's like saying more caffeine makes for better coffee! ☕️
Of course, there are times when you need a shot of caffeine for that quick boost – just like your car might need a rapid top-up charge. But at Connected Kerb, we know it's all about the right balance for your EV's health, your wallet, and our planet. And of course, what’s easiest for you! 🔌
There’s more to EV charging times than meets the eye. From slow to fast, rapid to ultra-rapid, there’s lots going on. But it won’t take long to get acquainted if you check out our blog below explaining all. ⤵️

💥 Boom! We’re absolutely thrilled that we’ve been voted joint second in the on-street charging network Zapmap rankings for 2023/24.
This isn’t just any accolade but one based on feedback from the people that matter the most – the EV driving community.
Judging criteria included reliability, ease of use, customer support, value for money, and payment options so we’re pretty chuffed. From now on we’ll be proudly wearing a shiny ‘EV Driver Recommended’ badge.
But we know we’ve still got a lot of work to do to bring sustainable mobility to everyone. The future is electric. We are ready to deliver.
Connectivity is all the rage these days. That’s why our Scarab charger ticks all the boxes on the EV shopping list of every hotel, pub and property developer.
Make charger management seamless by connecting it to your property’s wifi. No wifi? The GSM modem has got you covered.
Want a faster charge when more energy is available? The Scarab’s Dynamic Load Management feature can not only do this, but reduce energy consumption when other devices need more power.
And most importantly we can vouch for the Scarab’s safety and security with locks that prevent cheeky imposters from stealing a charge.
Connected Kerb | Scarab The Scarab is our newest wall-mounted charging point for commercial and residential settings.
💥 Have you heard about the new duty on local authorities to oversee EV charging? Read all about it here as we make our position clear on this big issue.👇
Government review puts local authorities in driving seat for charging roll-out There will now be a legal duty on councils to lead on EV charging.
We're here to make it easy to drive an EV. By bringing reliable charging straight to the streets (and car parks).
That seamlessly integrates with the rhythms and routines of everyday life.
With simple payment, unparalleled convenience and customer service that really cares.
No outrageous rates and no driveway required. It just works. For everyone.
Don’t just take our word for it.
Listen to drivers based at the Royal Society of Chemistry where our Geckos are keeping their employees and visitors fully charged.
🔌 We really mean it when we say we’re connecting people to places. But to do that when you charge up, you need to have the right connector – or in other words, the right plug.
It all depends on what charger you’re using. Whether it’s the very slow ‘granny’ charger or the exotic sounding, faster but more expensive Chademo. Or maybe it’s the more mundane sounding Type 1 or Type 2 connectors. We still think it’s pretty important that you’re plugged into what these all mean so we’ve put together this guide for you.
All Connected Kerb chargers are Type 2 which means you don’t have to worry too much about it when you’re out and about. Where this knowledge does come in handy is when you’re using rapid chargers or when you’ve just got a new EV and all you have is your granny (charger).
So jump in. Compare your connectors. Stay connected. 🔌

🔌 ⚡️ We like to say things as they are at Connected Kerb.
We listen to our clients, our community and tell the industry what we think needs to change to keep the UK’s journey to a full but fair EV transition on course.
That’s why our CEO Dr Chris Pateman-Jones spent time today giving evidence to a House Of Lords Committee to explore the policy steps needed to reach that destination.
In a rallying call to change the narrative around EVs, he urged the Government to get more stuck into the public debate.
To counter the clickbait. To big up the benefits. To connect with consumers.
Progress has been made, he said, but public perception is everything. Winning hearts and minds is critical.
See more of what he had to say below. 👇
