I recently worked with a female client who hated her body. This contributed to her avoiding 'letting go and experiencing pleasure' when spending intimate time with her partner. The thought of being naked filled her with dread.
She got changed with the lights off and demanded that her partner never switch on the lights when they were making love.
Her body image issues affected her relationship a great deal.
We worked together for many months.
One of the activities I suggested was for her to spend 2 mins a day just looking at her body in the mirror with no clothes on.
The first time I suggested this, tears ran down her face. She was determined to complete the task though, and she did it.
6 months in and she has been able to not only look at her naked body in the mirror, but also to find the beauty in her body...a body that represents her life, children and struggles...but also her strength and resilience.
Love the body you're in!
So, 4 weddings down...let's cross fingers that our couples will develop deeper feelings for one another on their honeymoons tonight!🥰
Let's face it, going on holiday with a partner you've known for years can present its challenges, but what happens when you don't know one another?!🫣
Tune in tonight at 9pm on E4 to see if our couples are having the time of their lives and swinging from the chandeliers - one can only hope!🤞🏾🥰
Married at First Sight UK 2024 is BACK!
Today is the day that you'll finally get to meet our first 2 couples....HOW EXCITING!💃🏾💕
Will they like each other?
Will their families hit it off?
Will they be jumping in the sack on their wedding night?

Are you a couple that sleep in separate bedrooms?
Yes?
Well, there really is absolutely nothing wrong with that! 🛌💕
There are many valid reasons why couples may choose to sleep in different rooms—snoring, different work patterns, caring for young children through the night, health conditions, or simply preferring your own space to sleep.
But remember, just because you sleep separately doesn't mean your connection should suffer! Make an extra effort to schedule quality time together.
Why not make it a routine to join your partner for a cuddle every Saturday or Sunday morning? 🤗💖 It's a small gesture that can make a big difference in maintaining physical intimacy.
For more ideas to reignite intimacy, grab a copy of my relationship-transforming book (quoted from a reader who said 'Wow, the tips in this book transformed my bedroom antics!")

My beautiful people....if you haven't had that kind of intimacy in a while, and you feel nervous about jumping in head first, I would suggest that you develop emotional intimacy, cuddling, kissing, massages first.
Learn to be comfortable in each other's company.
Talk to your partner about your worries, concerns, desires and boundaries.
Build up to 'IT' - If the experience is likely to cause you pain then it makes sense that you're likely to be apprehensive about going there.
Try not to get into 'guilt-tripping' yourself - periods without doing 'IT' when in a relationship is very rarely due to a lack of attraction to your partner.
What do you need from your partner to experience REAL intimacy?
Friday vibes! Carnival weekend. Looking forward to eating good food, drinking lovely cocktails and enjoying some downtime with loved ones!

The truth about doing 'it' on your period!
Embrace the Moment 😍
Here’s what you need to know:
1. Natural and Healthy: Menstrual physical intimacy is completely natural and can be a healthy part of your relationship. It’s all about comfort and communication.
2. Increased Sensitivity: Many people find that they are more sensitive and can experience heightened pleasure during their period.
3. Relief from Cramps: Reaching the big 'O' can actually help reduce menstrual cramps by releasing endorphins and oxytocin, which act as natural painkillers.
4. Communication is Key: Talk with your partner about boundaries and comfort levels. A little preparation, like using a dark towel, can make the experience more comfortable.
5. Stay Safe: Use protection to prevent STIs and unintended pregnancies. While the risk of pregnancy is lower during menstruation, it’s not zero.
Remember, what’s most important is that both you and your partner feel comfortable and respected. Every couple is different, so find what works best for you!
Do you LOVE the person looking back at you?
Recently I had to challenge myself. After every photo, I would criticise myself. Nothing big, but things like "Oh my gosh, all I can see is my double chin!" (Which I've now brought attention to lol)
It's important that we feed our brains positive messages about how amazing we are.
Remember, what you think, impacts how you feel and consequently, how you act.
Let's take an example:
We THINK that we are not someone that others would find interesting.
We FEEL miserable and sad because of it.
We decide to cancel an important networking event because we've told ourselves that no-one would want to hear what we have to say.
RESULT - Potentially missing out on a great business opportunity and not being in spaces where you could receive positive messages. Eg - I love your point of view or you have some amazing ideas etc.
Don't hide your light. POSITIVE SELF TALK IS KEY!
I'll let you in on a little secret...
..a great way to spice up your bedroom antics, is to add a bit of fun and playfulness to your intimate time.
Many couples love the opportunity of a bit of role-play.
A mask like the one I wore at my Come Closer book launch last month, is a perfect addition to your 'naughty toolbox'.
Go on, give it a try!😉

Such a fun day, capturing a beautiful moment!❤️
It's always a joy to see these beauties...even captured my wotsits!🤣🤣🤣
Here are my thoughts? What do you think? What have I missed?
1. Stress/Busy with Other Responsibilities: Modern life often involves juggling demanding careers, parenting, and other commitments, leaving little time or energy for intimacy. Chronic stress and fatigue can significantly reduce libido.
2. Unspoken Resentment Towards Your Partner: Relationship conflict, whether small or significant, can create emotional distance. When issues go unresolved, they can build up resentment, making physical intimacy less appealing.
3. Find S3x Monotonous, Predictable, and Boring: Over time, couples might fall into routines that make their s3x life feel repetitive. A lack of novelty and excitement can lead to decreased interest in s3x.
4. Hormonal Changes: Hormonal fluctuations due to ageing, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, or medical conditions can affect libido and s3xual performance. For example, lower testosterone levels in men or reduced estrogen levels in women can impact s3xual desire.
5. Not Stimulated by the S3x on Offer: S3xual compatibility and mutual satisfaction are crucial for a healthy s3x life. If one or both partners feel their needs and desires are not being met, it can lead to disinterest.
6. Mental Health Issues: Depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions can reduce s3xual desire and affect intimacy. Medications used to treat these conditions can also have side effects that impact libido.
7. Physical Health Problems: Chronic illnesses, pain, menopause and physical disabilities can make s3xual activity difficult or less enjoyable. Certain medications can also interfere with s3xual desire and performance - for example, some anti-depressants.
8. Lack of Communication: Open communication about s3xual desires, preferences, and concerns is essential. Without it, misunderstandings and dissatisfaction can grow, leading to a reduction in s3xual activity.
9. Infidelity or Emotional Affairs: Affairs, whether physical or emotional, can lead to a decrease in s*xual activity within the marriage. The emotional fallout from infidelity can significantly impact intimacy.

You should only have a th*****me if you truly want to and NOT just to please a partner!
I suggest many deep, long conversations to ensure everyone is happy and understands where they stand.
Explore the "what ifs": What if I feel jealous, or what if you fall in love with the other person?
Regular discussions, clear communication, boundary setting, safe-words, and both parties fully consenting to this are crucial.
If any part of a th*****me makes you feel uncomfortable, listen to that inner voice and reconsider.
If you go ahead and introduce this into your relationship without properly exploring the pros and cons, it could lead to real problems in your relationship that may not be salvageable.
On the other hand...it could be just what your relationship needs!🤔

Is the menopause ruining your marriage?
Menopause and Relationship Challenges.
A recent survey revealed that 7 out of 10 women cited menopause as the reason for their relationship breakdown. This statistic is eye-opening, but it prompts deeper reflection.
Were there underlying issues already present in these relationships? It’s possible that some were struggling with:
- Lack of Communication
- Diminished Respect
- Fading Love
Could it be that some partners were already displaying traits of being stubborn, dismissive, or not listening? Sometimes, existing problems are magnified by the challenges menopause brings.
Menopause might not be the root cause but rather the catalyst that brings these issues to light.
How can we better support each other through such transitions?
It's a hard job, but somebody's gotta do it!🤣
Morning my lovelies.
