👋Welcoming Mbili Twiga, a complex but delicate coffee that showcases sweet and herbal flavours with a fresh final touch. ✨

In the Kilimanjaro region, around 90% of coffee is produced by smallholder farmers with less than 1 hectare. Many of them contributed to this blend named Mbili Twiga (two giraffes) to reflect this coming together.

Origin: Kilimanjaro & Arusha, Tanzania

Process: Washed

Last week our Impact Manager, Cat, attended an event hosted by one of our charity partners, Springboard!

130 young people wanting to go into hospitality employment attended 6 Sensory Workshops, where they explored the 5 basic tastes: salty, sour, sweet, bitter, and umami.

Lots of interesting discussions on flavours and aromas and a coffee cupping to finish off. Thanks Cat, for sharing your knowledge!

Today we're welcoming Diana, our new Head Roaster!

She brings with her 8 years of experience in the coffee industry and a big passion for green coffee produced by small farmers.

Her favourite coffees are herbal and floral, and she currently favours using the V60 to make her morning brew at Old Spike.
