Summer Lates ✨

For the first of our Chiswick Lates series this summer we welcomed wine obsessive and TV presenter to host an Evening of English Wine with East Sussex vineyard

Guests enjoyed delicious canapé pairings by our very own - using beautiful, fresh produce from the Chiswick Kitchen Garden.

It was a pleasure to collaborate with the team and to see the cafe space full of energy and enthusiasm after hours… 🥂

School is officially out 🗓️

With 6 weeks of unpredictable British summertime ahead thank goodness for locations like with something to do, whatever the weather! 🌦️

Over the past two months we have been establishing roots in our new cafe location. Referencing the ornate and natural forms of the existing heritage architecture.

🎏 Scalloped shingle tiles adorn the northern elevation, mirroring the same pattern to the delicate metal framework of the Victorian Glasshouse

🌳 Tree leaves wrap the new booth seating with the shape taken from the “Tree of Life” carving on the original museum building by Charles Harrison Townsend

🦋 Butterfly Chairs by UK manufacturer connecting to the incredible Butterfly Zoo found in the Gardens

🌍 92 Kg of carbon saved by using the world’s most eco-friendly paint by in natural colours that reflect the intricate mosaic at the entrance of the Museum

We look forward to welcoming regulars and new visitors to The Horniman Cafe, sharing this summer has to offer.
