Golden Grants events happened across over 100 Tesco stores and Bread n Butter was one of the lucky groups chosen to receive £5000 in Golden Grants Funding.
Golden Grants is part of the Tesco Stronger Starts programme which provides funding for children for healthy food and activities.
This funding will be used to provide easy to follow healthy Recipe Meal Kits to children across primary schools in the borough of Camden. These recipes give children and parents the opportunity to make a healthy family meal together from scratch.
We will also be providing step by step videos to go alongside the videos to show parents and children how to make the recipes they receive.

Our partners at Grahame Park Estate .of.e.cic Since 2019 we have been providing our services to the residents of the Grahame Park estate in Colindale.
It was a real honour on Friday celebrating the estate’s history and heritage at the Past Present and Future exhibition. Lovely seeing residents and community groups come together to share this piece of work.
Through our work we not only teach people about healthy eating in a budget but we see just how food can bring people together. Connecting people from various cultural backgrounds to come together and ‘break bread’ sharing stories and evoking memories.
This is what we wanted to create with our first ever Grahame Park community recipe book which we launched on Friday.
The book is currently with the printers and we will keep you updated once it’s ready!
We are excited to share that our director Filomena has been awarded a place on the Barnet Community Food Growing Network Leadership Programme.

Hi it’s Filomena here! So glad I got to briefly visit the at the Good Kitchen a community kitchen he has created in my parents home town in . Not knowing the language or the culture Danny set up shop in this small town in the heart of Sicily with a vision to help those in need via the medium of food. He has united people from all over the world thst come and volunteer their services cooking meals together to give out to those in the community that need them most. It was wonderful chatting and sharing what we do and finding a common ground in our visions in helping our communities via the medium of food. Although miles away our communities have very similar health, economic and social issues. You can certainly feel the love at the Good Kitchen - for many it’s a happy place where they can connect with others and forget their worries for a while. Where the young and old come to cook and share meals together. keep doing what you are doing we are all behind you. Watch this space as Danny has some great plans for the future of The Good Kitchen.
