Sir Wayne McGregor closed his fourth year as Artistic Director of Biennale Danza with WE HUMANS ARE MOVEMENT, performed and co-choreographed by the dancers from Biennale College Danza 2024 in collaboration with Company Wayne McGregor

McGregor enlisted Benji B, Theresa Baumgartner, Ben Cullen Williams, and Wolford for this electrifying collaboration. Staged as two consecutive, one-off, site-specific performances, this high-touch, high-tech collaboration took place in the historic Sala Grande in the modernist Palazzo del Cinema on the Lido, home of the Venice International Film Festival

Calling the next generation of Dance Artists! Applications for the Biennale College Danza are now open.

Until Friday 8 March, dancers and choreographers can apply for the Biennale College Danza international calls and undertake an intensive learning and study programme under the mentorship of Wayne McGregor.

Between classes and workshops, the theorical and practical experiences of the Biennale College Danza will take place over a three-month residency in Venice and will conclude with the presentation of:

-A new creation by Wayne McGregor conceived for the space of the Sala Grande in the Palazzo del Cinema on Venice’s Lido

-A new experimental creation by Cristina Caprioli

-Two original new creations conceived by the selected choreographers
