First race since 2019, and I definitely felt a bit rusty. That said, it was a beautiful day for a run along the Thames between Twickenham and Kingston and a well organised event by .
10 miles feels a lot further than it used to, but to my mind is an unappreciated distance that sits nicely between 10km and half marathon. The Cabbage Patch 10 is a great race and I highly recommend giving it a go as the road season comes to an end, and the x country starts again.
Great effort from my online coaching client, Adam. Adam was a pleasure to work with and beat his target of 4 hours at the by running 3:41:27. Training for a marathon can involve some ups and downs and occasionally working around injuries. In Adam's case, a calf issue meant some adaptations to the plan and an emphasis on getting the calves as strong and robust as possible. Combined with a lot of hard work and diligence and good ex*****on on the day, Adam was able to put in a very strong performance.
